I started playing league of legends in patch 6.8 and have now made gold league! Coming from sc2 I thought gold league was a below average player, since everything is named the same. But now that I look at the distributions I see that it is surprisingly top 30% or so. FeelsGoodMan

grug1 votescoming from sc2 you probably have honed map awareness skills and good understanding of opportunity cost which most players in league barely grasp.

grats on gold btw. what was your sc2 rank? if you were anywhere diamond and up, you could probably make high diamond easily in league---especially if you were a micro-heavy player

When i quit sc2 i finished my first season as top 8 masters. I played like 10 000 games of sc2 over multiple accounts.
Masters meant less and less as more people quit the game however. They also made masters larger. It was also on NA which had the lowest level of play
The micro and unit control helped for sure but i think the main thing is decision making in league becuase it's not outrageously mechanically demanding (depends on who you play i suppose). Like games dodnt come down to IF i could do something, but should i
