Put yi back...

I don't like the way he is now. If you did this new remake to take away his apness I would like to first call you out on killing a style of playing a champ because it was unique. IF that wasn't the case I am going to point out fundamental errors about what you are doing to this character all because of noob hate.

1.Third Strike [previously seventh strike] There is no strategic advantage in using this passive anymore. You cannot save stacks up for when you wanna go in on someone. IF you alphastrike at 2 stacks by the time you are out stacks are gone. Don't like that the damage was reduced by 50% either.

  1. Alphastrike - You already nerfed the damage by changing it to ad and lowering it's base damage by a ton. Critical strike on it is a good idea but it doesn't make up for what it was before in teh slightest. The only time crit reaches 100% is if you build like a baffoon and don't want to live.

  2. Meditate - For percentage of hp this is useless. I never have healed up 20% of hp because of this move. Even with hp built the meditate is pretty weak unless you use synergy with spirit visage which brings yi survivability yes but no damage whatsoever.

  3. Wuju Style - 20% of ad even at max rank as true damage is very low. I in mid game will have maybe a bf sword while trying to build into something important [frozen mallet for survival + damage] 20% of my damage is less than 100. Therefore not even noticible for the 5 seconds it's active. The passive [Increase ad by 10%] is also laughable comapred to the old version. THe old version was like 10-15-20-25-30 and increase by double when active. To compare how laughable it is now. Max it out. You'd have 60 ad before. This way around you have 10% of your ad. By the time I max it out my base is around 200 ad... 20 ad... really? thats all? for a rank 5? give me a break...

  4. Highlander - Feels the same BUT the resets don't feel like they happen. And despite getting rid of the casting it many times I need to build something like frozen mallet now after killing 1 target because if they get away it will be over. As an assassin he doesn't shine much. This is the active. For the passive "We changed alpha strike you get the dart and dodge gameplay of ap yi along with the assassin type of yi used as ad" By making it so it doesn't reset alpha strike a player really doesn't do this at all. As he is he can barely kill 1 person never mind two unless he goes glass cannon and there you have it where is his survivability? If you are gonna do something that makes it so "He isn't infinitely hidden by alpha strike" make it so it lowers the cooldown of all moves to 1-2 seconds after each kill. Meaning if alphastrike is on a 15 second cooldown and I get a kill the cooldown is now 1-2 maybe even 3.

Pros: I love the new voice additions and he doesn't look as awkward now.

Cons: Took away a character that had two styles of play. Nerfed him to a point where most people just chuckle when you select him.

It's not that I need him to be OP but when I build infinity edge and have the first one on map..... I think I deserve to feel a little powerful. Right now with yi... I don't.

Why this post, why now?

I have seen more prevailant assassins being played and by professionals and most people laugh at this pick much like a teemo pick. I don't feel like there should be characters that must be destroyed because people don't like them. They should get more skilled. Sure meditate was powerful on an ap scaling but it didn't kill anyone, alphastrike did. And so you went and nerf both? not just one? both? how is that right? You basically say "You don't have to worry if an enemy picks this champ even if he is fed because he is mad team reliant that if you just look at him just a little during a team fight he will not be of use... Meditate doesn't even make you immune to ccs for goodness sakes and it is now so nerfed in a league of legends where every champ is loaded with cc.

Saying the new Yi doesn't do enough damage is pretty absurd, he still has one of the highest pentakill potentials in the game. He's an extremely mobile champion that can deal insane amounts of damage on the run. He's pretty much a no risk all reward champion unless he's caught by hard cc, which even after the cc he can still Highlander out and be perfectly fine. If you can't play Yi now then you either have to review your playstyle / build, or just not play him. He's still extremely broken.
