Yeah, I main morde, always have, always will. So how come every enemy has to flame me for "Picking an OP champ", "Riding Freelo", "Sucking the fun out of the game", "Tryharding" and countless other insults?

Seriously, it gets worse if I'm actually doing bad for once. Then they even start to spit things like "Can't even play a broken champ LOL" or even go as far as to say I should rename and refund my skins.

Are people this dense and don't realize that some players actually play the Juggernauts even before their reworks? We mained them before, we played them when they were underrated and sometimes weak and now we get flamed for playing our favorite champions? For real?

Tl;DR: Stop presuming people only play the currently "OP" champions to win and not because they liked them before or love their designs.

Veigar has always had insanely high burst, he hasn't really changed much since his rework, people have just finally started working that out.

I can't tell you how disturbing it is to see Veigar as a common pick in normals. Once upon a time, the only way I saw Veigar in my games was to choose him in champ select.

The worst part is that after his long period of indifference and before the period of him being OP, there was that period where public perception was that his mini-rework was a nerf and you'd get flamed for picking a shit-tier champion. Suddenly people realized they were idiots and now I'm getting flamed for picking a free-win champion.

But, to be honest, he's been free-win for years so I just sit there smuggly while instakilling their fed Riven with just my R.

I've mained Viktor since I started playing this game at the start of Season 3. When he got picked up by Pros earlier this year, I both loved and hated it. I loved it because I got to see my favorite champion played at the highest tier of play, but hated it because I knew nerfs were coming. Little had changed with Viktor, but he instantly went from troll-pick to game-breaking OP. I went from getting flamed by my team in pre-game to getting flamed by the enemy in post-game.

Then the nerfs came. They were maybe slightly justifiied, but rather than getting a small nerf to damage/ratios, the Hex Core passive was hit hard, and far more than it deserved.

I think what makes me even more annoyed is that in the same patch that Viktor -a champion that never saw play before this season- got nerfed, Lee Sin -a champion that's been in every LCS since his release- got buffed. It just doesn't make sense.

They why have they gone through with Morde rework that no one aside from CertainlyT likes, despite tons of actually constructive feedback?

Facts: -Mordekaiser players hate this rework because of how it pigeonholes him. -Non-Morde players hate it because of how atrociously broken he is. -Not only regular players hate him, but pros do too. In Worlds purple side has only 2 bans - they have to ban Morde so that blue side doesn't firstpick him.

P.S. Karma Never forget. The only champion to actually get deleted from the game.

Facts

Riot asked Morde players months ago what they would have liked and not liked in a possible rework. They asked few things, among which they noted: No hard CC, Soft cc only if needed and avoided if possible, No dashes or engages, Not too much MS boost for engaging ( W change was really liked since it was really situational), more focus on the warrior/tank aspect, more readability and usability in W, more focus on the mace and less focus on E. This is partly the core characterization of the juggernauts, i' m not sure if Riot had them in mind already but if not they were conceptualized that day too.
yeah, many mains dislike him. Not everyone: you see in boards only those that actively dislike him, while others like it, or simply have opinions in-between are quieter; because that is usually what drives a person to post on boards. For example i like the new rework, even tought i dislike some things like few numbers and most of all the W passive. There is people that does not like it, but again there were people who disliked Sion rework because, you know, people have opinions. You can go out and say you don' t like him, alright, but can' t just say "muh there is people" pointing fingers at the sky.
Non-Morde players have the right to call him broken damage wise, actually any player can, but it stops at that. many people call broken Katarina or Master Yi too, and would still call Morde broken even if they gutted the Q damage because such a sudden high number in a telegraphed skill is really hard to counter!
What makes you think that pros ban based on hate?
Also Riot listened to people feedback about BPE: Skarner was weak, Darius was alright only after few buffs and said that the heal was shit, Garen got gutted because lacked too much speed and Fiora was too much punishing. Silence radio from Morde for a while, from which later added the possibility to cast W on self.

What does it mean? That Riot listens, but they are not slaves. Listening does not mean executing, and there are far far more people out there that have different opinions from what you say or see. Sometimes you might be right, some others wrong, and you will be always wrong if you do it with arrogance.

Well here's the problem- in two parts:

League is full of people who are never wrong.
Those people know that everyone else is always wrong, and feeds, and trolls, and picks OP champs but sucks and only plays reworked champs without ever touching the champion before.

In short, community sucks quite the lemon.

lol I've been a Karthus main since near the end of S3 (or whenever SG Udyr came out I'm not sure exactly) and when ZhaoWeiZhao went karthus and completely took a dump on Zed some time back. I once got slightly flamed by someone saying "lol you are not ZhaoWeiZhao, why are you playing karthus". Now I'm kinda hesitant to play again and get flamed for playing Karthus now that Easyhoon has managed to win with karthus at worlds.

I didn't main Mordekaiser before, but whenever I was on a losing streak I'd normally go Morde top and shred them with my metal. Full AP Morde + DFG was godmode.

No one could stop me. Now, however, I never play him simply due to his awkward rework.

Honestly I feel he's lost power with the rework. He no longer has a perma-shield. I hated Morde's before now. Now it's just another squish that I run through with my main. Yasuo is my main, always has, and always will be. I feel people often believe he's OP when in actuality he is balanced. He requires skill to play, and has a kit that rewards team plays. Anyways, so I agree with the original poster here

Because that's the biggest reason why most everyone hates him: Nearly impossible to actually do anything against him bot lane (can start tanky and be extremely hard to poke down, he gets dragon, he wins lane, and combined with a good support, has ridiculous kill potential.)
