Rito can we get a dancing poro while the game is loading, so we know if we crashed or not?
That way we don't have to play the game where, is that person just really slow at loading or is my game broken.

I've had this happen to me so many times and there have been many times where my game just froze and didn't realize it. Also there have been times where my friends clients would freeze and they wouldn't realize it, but the game wouldn't start until they restarted the client.
We should have dancing 
like in the store :P
I don't really care why they put it in, but we need a dancing Poro ASAP.
Yeah that's why I used to like seeing everybody's ping. Sometimes mine just stays the same for a while but seeing 10 different pings somebody's is bound to fluctuate. I do notice that my client likes to freeze for a little bit then load a bunch at once.

Can we get a dancing poro in the corner of the game ALL THE TIME?
What if it was just the poro sitting there, and every once and a while it panted or ran in a circle. That way the animations are already in the game.

ive had this happen in ranked you get to 100 percent and you wait for the sound lol i finally restarted my client was 15 mins late
i agree. some sort of animation would be nice. As far as i know, the only way to tell is by looking if my ping is going up and down. But sometimes it stays at 110 for 20 seconds at a time. So this dancing poro or any animation would be nice
TOTALLY AGREE, perhaps you could purchase what you want to use as a d/c indicator as well that'd be nice! Many times I'm just looking at the screen waiting for someone at 57% for a long time and wondering hmmmm that person just must be lagging, than after 5 minutes I realize I d/c :/ and pretty much screwed early game over :\
RIOT PLEASE IMPLEMENT THIS!(Or anyway to tell if you're d/c'd but the poro idea is really nice!)
While I approve 100% of the idea of a dancing Poro, there's another way.
Unless you have a magical, super stable internet connection, your ping will fluctuate, that way you can know the loading is still going.
Better yet, why cant we have 'themes'? Imagine the entire shop, background screen, Home Menu, etc were all based off a subject. Such as Poros, the Firejlord, Shurima, etc. I'd love a Firejlord one!

I can tell if my ping changes every few seconds
I think there should be a loading icon. maybe have a bunch of different ones you can buy in the store for 250 rp 2500ip something like that. Like have a character on the bottom right of the screen doing some silly animation the poro should be the default loading loading icon XD
Just watch you're ping. If it keeps bouncing between 140 and 160, you know it hasn't crashed.
Works pretty well for me.
Not that I don't want this, but for the time being, you can try this.
Just watch your ping on the loading screen. If its not changing every 5 seconds or so, you've probably frozen up. If its changing, be patient, you're just still loading.
Hasn't failed me yet.

Upvote, though I will say an SSD sure helps. Not saying that's the solution, anything animated on the loading screen would be absolutely superb (those percentages are obviously nonsense, they freeze at 100 too often and you just don't know whether to alt+f4 or not), but it's a heck of a luxury to be able to load the game in a few seconds. Can't wait until those things become just a little more mainstream (as in, almost completely replace platter-based SSDs as default options on prebuilt comps, at which point I'd consider them mainstream)
This needs to happen! Just lost a ranked match because they were at our inhib by the time I noticed my client was frozen and not waiting for our Morgana to load... :/
I have starting clicking the middle of my screen every 15 seconds or so while the game loads up to see if my game has crashed. I usually get on an app on my phone till the game starts, and sometime wont notice 15 minutes went by with my game still "loading", only to find out i probably just cost my team the game because i noticed too late i had my game crash on my. I think the dancing poro, or maybe just anything moving during the loading screen is a brilliant idea!
I so love this idea! I think this would help so many people who have internet issues.
