Will the LoL Mac client benefit from Metal in OS X 10.11 El Capitan?

See title for the question. Basically, I'm asking whether we'll see performance improvements from the inclusion of Metal in the next version of OS X or does the client need significant recoding to take advantage of Metal?

I actually started a board post the day they annoucned Metal for Mac. As of now I don't believe Riot has said anything on it and to be honest it would probably require a lot of resources to take advantage of Metal. If you want to chime in on any of the conversation on my post that would be awesome too :)

I hope they do. I don't know what framework League uses, but it's pretty rare for a game to not use one of the major engines and still deploy to Windows and Mac. So, since there is an abstraction layer, whichever it is, they are most likely to support Metal eventually.

Since Riot just ignore everything we post about Retina screens and macs (I don't know why, I personally spent 500 bucks over 18 months of play, and I don't think I am the only one on macs spending money here) I don't expect this to be soon.

Riot pretty only has one product to develop. It would be a damn shame if they didn't make use of the available technology to speed their one intellectual property. Not to mention I game on a laptop with integrated graphics. Granted it's a haswell processor and intel has made great stride with integrated graphics, but if there is a possibility to get some extra fps due to Metal, I sure hope they take advantage of it.
