How well does the HP Spectre x360 do with League

A while back I made a thread asking for advice on picking out a laptop for college that could run League reasonably well. Of course after somebody helped me find one that was cheap-ish and available my parents completely disregarded it, and then went to best buy, asked the tech guys there for a good laptop, and I ended up with the Spectre.

It looks pretty thin but it has the i7 so I figure it should run League without too much lag, although I'm not quite sure because it seems really thin and tbh I know fuck-all about computers in general. It's been getting sorta hot when I do simple stuff like browse the web, download shit, etc. but tbh this hotel's wifi is extra shitty so maybe that has something to do with it.

So anyways, yeah, HP Spectre x360 with inter core i7. What setting can it run League on without overheating/fan at max speed and making noise/etc etc?

I'm using a 5~6 year old laptop (which was an average computer at the time--definitely not a gaming computer), and it runs pretty well. League is not very processor-intensive game compared to many other games. I am running it on lowest graphic settings and 25 fps, though. If it's a new computer, you should be able to run it on a decent graphic quality and better fps.

I have the HP Spectre x360 with core i7 and 256 GB SSD. Bought this machine a couple days ago and decided to play league today to test it out.

During the first couple games I played, the laptop overheated and shut down/hibernated on me multiple times from thermal control. All the while, I played around with all types of resolution combos (ranging from the lowest to the middle to highest) and what not but the overheating just kept happening. So aggravating... however, to clarify, the laptop was lying flat on my table when this happened and the temperature in the house was pretty warm at the high 70's and up. I then decided to place the Spectre on my lap and faced it towards a fan so that air could enter the bottom vents of the machine better. After doing this, the game ran smoothly and I had it on the highest settings (1920 x 1080 and highest quality .etc.). I also noticed that the laptop became much cooler than when it was previously shutting down every 3 minutes.

I didn't really pay attention to the fan during this time but the fan usually kicks in for me during web browsing when I have 10+ tabs open, so I would most likely think that it'd be noticeable.

For the most part, League didn't lag much. It was in one or two instances that I lagged for around 5-10 seconds but it didn't happen very often. My main problem was the laptop shutting down from overheating.

Not really well versed in terms of being techy but this was my exp. so hopefully it helps! I'll be playing around with it more to see if it was because I blocked the bottom vents of the laptop that caused the overheating or because of a different factor...
