Please don't change boom boom blitzcrank...

This is the proposed change... It has no where near the quality or sincerity of the current one, there's no feeling, it looks strange...

The NA Screen looks a lot more like Blitzcrank actually does and the background properly puts him in a ring where he belongs.

The other splash is just some gloves crappily photoshopped over a random Warmachine. Seriously why would he be wearing boxing gloves in the middle of a Warzone?

Also, a lot of people seem to agree that it's a problem with the new Chinese splash arts.. Which is true, some of them are really good but others are a downgrade... Hope someone from Riot sees this.

( Have a look on surrenderat20 if you haven't seen the new Splashes).

Didn't realize before but not to mention the Chinese splash art literally ripped the glove from the other image... Sigh...

Well, I think part of what looks odd about it is that Blitz's right hand glove was copy-pasted to the Chinese splash. It's flipped as well, but in the Chinese splash you can see a white halo around the glove where they tried (unsuccessfully) to merge it in.

In the original, "PWN" means something. "ZWq" doesn't.

Yea... i really don't like the chinese splashes. Theyre just too contrast with their completely different style which feels more like a downgrade that defeats the purpose updating the splash arts that are NA styled. It just seems like a super lazy move they just wanna suddenly import splash arts rather than update them to the quality they have been getting them to so far.

Traditional Lee and Masquerade Eve look admittedly good, but still im sure they can do equal to or better with a clean slate... just my two cents. I mean i know ALOT of artists that have the time to create a quality splash art that is even to the ones we have been updating with, for cheap. If a regular person like me deals with artists like that on a regular basis, certainly a titan like riot can.

Yeah a lot of them, to me , look like they are fan arts that they're throwing in -- and it doesn't fit the style of the NA Server Splashes. They look like anime characters and it's REALLY going to contrast the other splashes that aren't in the same style.

I agree, it's all part of a bigger problem and hopefully Riot will understand that downgrading and ruining the contrast is just a very lazy way of doing it, I hope they understand that some of these "new" Chinese splash arts are just plain downgrades...

See that's your opinion though. I happen to think all of the chinese splash arts looks way better. Hell there's a dozen skins i now play on buying that i was avoiding before because i hated the splash so much.

Some Chinese splashes look a lot better, can't argue there! But to me some are a degrade in quality, if you don't think so then that's awesome, what's your opinion on the Chinese one VS the NA one though?

I can understand why people don't want the NA one to change don't get me wrong. It fits thematically with him standing ringside and his gloves say PWN can't argue there. However the atmosphere in the Chinese version just seems to bring this one to life. I love the angle of the art and just the general robot apocalypse feel to it. It's no longer a boxing skin but a "what godforsaken thing happened here and how many faces has he pummeled with these gloves" type skin. I'm not really a huge blitz player so i feel pretty indifferent towards this skin, i do think it's a higher quality in my opinion.

Overall though i think it's a general upgrade. I shouldn't have said all the splash arts because there are a couple i'm not huge on. The only ones i don't like are the Fiora and Garen splash arts. Overall i absolutely love the changes though. Before there wasn't a single Evelynn Karma i even really liked at all so i'll definitely be picking those up now. I think the Ahri arts look much better. I love the Karthus ones. I'll definitely be getting Headhunter MasterYi. Although the new versions of the MissFortune arts aren't as boobalicious, i love the style of them and i think they are a much higher quality.

My personal favorite change is the update of Annie in Wonderland. I was not a fan of it at all before and now i find it absolutely adorable.

These are just my personal opinions and i feel that everyone is entitled to their own feelings about them. I know some people don't like change and aren't a fan of having some of their favorite skins just changed after using them for years. I think it's refreshing and brings a lot of great quality to some arts that were lacking in quality.

Fair enough it's cool that some people like it, I wish I could but this is admittedly my favorite skin so I'm attached to it too... Thanks for sharing your opinion :)

The chinese is in a ring too. Look at the chains and follow their 'arc'. He's on top of a defeated opponent and the ring is just barely in view. An awkward angle doesn't make recognition of this intuitive, however.

The only difference is the style (yes, you can argue quality), 'vibe', and the fact that one is in an outdoor ring, while the other is indoor.

Don't get me wrong; I think the Chinese splash is a downgrade too. I'm just saying, he's still in a ring.

Also, keep in mind that Riot said that the 'downgrades' are splash arts that are intended to be first priority when it comes to new splash arts.

All of the 'unfavorable' splashes are acting as placeholders while they merge the international splash arts to have a unified system.

then why should they keep it as a company stand point cause heres some reasons why

  1. its old the new splash art will keep the skin looking decent for about 2-3 years while the original is on its last legs 2.people dont care about emotion they want the skin old splash art has alot of distractions in it while the new focuses on blitz making him the main focus 3.its a skin it shouldnt matter what the splash art looks like the ingame actually matters more and the new splash art looks like the ingame that true silver color while the old splash makes him look brown that doesnt actually look like ingame

just stating reasons as a counter point

the NA one looks more like the In game model but the top one looks better than the NA version but since i don't play blitz because i hate his overly powerful and binary kit with no real risks that makes him a cancerous champion i don't feel like going into why i don't play blitz because of how salty ill get...

I know this is like throwing gas on a flame and I'll probably be downvoted to hell...

But I actually like a bunch of the splash art changes, Boom Boom Blitzcrank included. That said, I'd like it if they applied the more vibrant color scheme of the new splash to his current splash. That would be an adequate change.

they HAVE to make this change because of issues with tencent.

There's absolutely 0% chance of them not replacing the current splashes.

your only hope is they update those old chinese arts sooner rather than just leaving them as is.
