@Riot: What are your thoughts on adding more toggleable visual options?
There's a lot of extra indicators that you could add into League, but there are also a lot of players whose first response would be "Too much visual noise!". To satisfy both parties in the argument, it would be smart to add in those visual indicators, but also add in options that let players turn them on and off as desired.
Toggleable indicators could include:
- Ally-target (for when your team's Janna is trying to shield you)
- Self-circle (ala Hexakill so you don't lose yourself as easily in clusterf%ck fights or get confused by mirror matches)
- Sidebar timers for allied Summoner Spells and ultimates (ala Spectator Mode to see if your ally can use Heal or Exhaust, or how much time is left on Soraka's ultimate cooldown)
- Ward timer circles (so you don't have to click on them to see how much time is left)
The list could go on, but I think you get the idea. Players would definitely enjoy having more information on the screen so less typing (which can be fatal) is needed, but those who don't want to get overloaded can pick and choose what they want to see.
Is there some unknown problem to this that prevents it? The only one I can think of would be tech limitations.
