This novelization of Ocarina of Time is a true jewel in a crown. It does not follow the story as if it were just a game, but makes the story hugely more believable and a lot more dramatic. Characterization is done exceptionally well; Link in particular shows a lot of flaws as a hero, and really has to survive by the skin of his teeth several times.
