Regards AD experience!
Other day I went to a website in order to check their services. Right after, all my ad experience shifted into a desperate attempt to make me sign up for their services. The ads were all over the place on each website I visited. It was horrible. Is that all these algorithms do?
I don't mind ads, I don't mind if a new service is out there so I can get to know it. I do mind if a company remembers the last website I visited and keeps pushing me to make a decision to use their services. Do you truly think this kind of approach works?
A couple of weeks ago I read the new privacy policy announced by Riot Games. After that, I decided that it was about time for me to do something about this attempt by companies to capitalize with these horrible initiatives.
From now on, I am training myself to open an incognito tab before I log into any website that disrupts my ad experience. Sadly, League of Legends website is on this list.
Right now, I am using an incognito tab to post on the boards and even navigate on the leagueoflegends.com website. If all of us do that, we might be able to drive greedy companies to rethink their attempt to profit on your web behavior.
