Why can't we link main and smurf accounts and have a shared RP/IP pool

Title. It'd be a lot easier to level a smurf and get them ranked-ready if I could use this 200k IP I have sitting on my main doing nothing.

What if you could link up one or two accounts and share an IP and RP pool between them? You've already done the work/spent the money. It'd be nice to be able to use it. Sort of like an alternate to the IP sink we'll never get, except this one still rewards you for playing the game by allowing you to use the IP you've accrued.

Whats the point of even making a smurf account. If you aren't toxic and dont get banned, and don't dodge queues, seems to me there really isn't one

For me, I'm a Diamond player. I can't play games with my lower level or elo friends without ruining their experience by forcing them to fight players who are vastly better than them. I can't help them learn or have a good time with them because they don't enjoy getting stomped. Obviously I don't try my hardest on my smurf because that would ruin the game for the people on the other team, but It'd be nice to be able to have access to things I want on my smurf by using all the time I played on my main for it.

Other people like getting smurf accounts to a high elo by playing a one trick or something similar, which is also perfectly fine IMO.

My take on it: Only if one of the accounts getting punished also punishes all linked accounts for the exact same severity.

Riot's take on it: It'd lose us some money, so no.

Streamers or high-tier players from what I hear/see. Who just want level 30 accounts fairly fast. Or they buy it, but that's against the rules, soo...

That would be an XP boost, not an IP boost.
