my usual is 85. thats what it was for the first 5 mins. then all of the sudden it went to 325 where it fluctuated up and down but around 300 the rest of the game. I restarted the comp and modem and yet it didnt help. Now i started a custom and have 115 ping. Whats happening?

Same exact thing has been happening to me too. In loading screen I would have 80-100ping. As soon as minions spawn on the map my ping jumps to around 350-500. My average ping is also around 85. Its very frustrating to think I will have a good game and as soon as the game actually starts, I'm fucked. This has got to be on Riots end of things cause I can play quite a few online games without any issues with less than 80 ping.
yeah, i was stumped! i hardly ever have lag. had no idea what was happening and even after rebooting all the hardware (modem, router and computer it still stayed high) A day later all was back to normal again. I noticed though that with the new patch my ping has also increased on LAN, where i would usually get 55. Now its 80.
