Ranked game system is broken. I might have a solution.

Promos: Match us with other people in their promos. I know it would be really hard to find two full teams but atleast find another player so you know hes going to be serious about winning. Ive lost TONS of promos because of trolls, AFKS, people with no game knowledge, people who are unskilled or simply dont care.

The amount of LP loss is also a problem Players performing well even when they lost shouldnt be punished for having bad team mates. The other day I lost my Silver 2 promos AGAIN and the system made me lose 41 points. I was at 59 which means I had two/three other games to win to get back into it.

Individual performance should have an impact on your LP loss. If we get completely steam rolled and most of my team ends up with a C but I did well and end up with an A, I shouldnt lose the same amount. I know its a team game but the problem is that you are matched with complete strangers. Its more about luck than about skills when you think about it. I almost always do good if not really good (been carrying alot of games mid and most recently ADC). Why should I lose 20 points when I performed really well?

Make us (the players who want actually want to win) lose less LP and fix the promos and the experience will be way less frustrating

NOTE: I just reread your post and I'm warning you it might attract some circlejerkers who will say stuff like " I deserve Challenjour but teams holds me back, gg nub." You might want to take that out to avoid trolls.

It's League Points (LP). IP is the currency you get from games, but you probably meant that. As for what you are saying, the amount you win/lose depends on your MMR, and your teams average MMR. Riot doesn't release it but 3rd party sites such as op.gg can help you approximate it.

tl;dr If your teams average skill level is higher, you will gain less for a win and lose more for a loss. If your teams skill is lower, you will gain more for a win and lose less for a loss.
