Is this Snowballs of Legends?

Am I the only one who hates how "snowbally" games are now? I've lost TONS of games because of hypercarries or OP champs getting ridiculously fed early and then just stomping everything on sight.

There's so many strong picks right now and I'm starting to think that allowing 8 bans instead of 6 might be the way to go. I don't know what is up with this season but it's way harder to come back from a bad start and way harder to stop a fed lucian (don't know why but this guy is wrecking 90% of my silver games) or paper yi. I could name 20 other champs that are ban worthy EASILY.

I'm really really really bad this season though so that doesn't help but still.

Is never been so hard to make a comeback.

Even the pre-season patch notes pointed us in this direction, where knocking down towers increases your minion damage. Now it's insane. People have been calling for 8 or even 10 bans since we passed 100 champs available, rito considered it then likely abandoned it. No one has really heard anything about it.

I'd say 10 bans are more appropriate for sense of scale; 6 bans were instated when there was only ~50 champions; but now there's over a 100, and riot isn't showing any interest in balance. Though I agree the game is frustratingly one-sided every game.

I think League is very snowbally (spelling?) right now. Personally, I blame the towers. I feel that they are way to weak in the current state and, quite frankly, don't do enough damage to champions. For instance, I've been playing a lot of Voli jungle lately. I can gank mid at level 3 having both buffs. I have gotten it down where I can tank 4 turret shots, pop my passive and take another 1-2 tower hits. The fact that at level 3 I'm able to tank 5 turret shots without dying, is a bit insane IMO.

The other big problem that I have is Rift Harold. All too often I've seen the jungle gank top when they hit level 6 (so around the 7-8 minute mark) either burn a flash or force the top to back, and then the duo take Rift Harold. At that point, the jungler can back, and the top laner can stay top because of the stats they get from the mini baron buff. Not to mention, at level 6-7 minions do a lot of damage, especially when they are baroned up. This creates a huge advantage for whomever gets the buff, and it further oppresses the player who has fallen behind.

All this to create an environment where 1 mistake around the 5-10 minute mark, can set the pace for the rest of the game. But those are my thoughts, I'm interested in seeing what you guys think.

so im not going crazy... Climbing back to gold will be a nightmare because people don't know how to deal with fed carries. They get mad start talking shit accusing everyone of feeding him OR chase him around the map creating no map pressure and letting them push everything.

Last two seasons Riot worked their butts off to curb snowballing. Then people complained that games were lasting too long and late game champs were too strong. So Riot gave everyone what they wanted, a fast meta. You asked for it, now you get to suffer for your ignorance.

League of snowballs*

Actually it seems like the matchmaking is extremely unfair right now. I have games where the enemies have 500 wins more on average and games where get I gold players and the enemies bronze players. This happens evertime and in most cases the team with more wins has the better chance and stomps the less experienced to death (and tilt mode)

I honestly don't know what the hell Riot is thinking with item 3124 .

I agree. Remove summoner 32

No. This is League of who will pick more early game champions and snowball from there.

You deserve to get punished for making a mistake, it's not League of Comebacks. In KR they don't often have comebacks because players hold onto their leads aka, "open mid."

i'm in favor of your post. But something that will help you in the meantime is picking good waveclear champs. And then just control how fast they can take turrets

A lot of it is people being unwilling to change how they play when things go bad. I've admitted played games where I've got someone snowball rolling and just wouldn't sit back and chill because I was sure I could kill them anyway. Then the rest of the team plays as if there isn't a crazy fed yas coming for them and then wonders why they're all dying.

I've also have games where the enemy xin got two kills early, then gets completely shut down because we know he's got a lead and try and punish him for trying to enhance the lead. Not all snowballs are unstoppable, it's just a matter of realizing one is starting to roll and adjusting accordingly.

Makes for a slightly different game yes, but most are still salvageable if steps are taken early.

tbh I feel like this is how it always should have been.

League is a team game, it should come down to team moments deciding the fate.

with the longer death timers. that's basically want happens at around 30 min. it boils down to the last team fight and it doesn't matter who has how many towers or anything.
