Promotion games still piss me off...

I understand the need for it but in certain situations it's both useless and frustrating. I won 12 games in a row (80% win rate in the mid lane) which got me to my Gold promos with Gold 3 MMR as a Silverino Stallone 1. As usual, I'm more stressed out because I know I have to win three out of 5 games to move out of Silver. Now here I am with one loss in my first game (didn't play well/to my full potential and also had bad team mates) and I don't even feel like playing the other ones. You could potentially be forever stuck in a division if you're unlucky in your promos or just someone who's more prone to play worse when stressed out.

The one guaranteed win when you lose em was a nice addition but holy shit do I still hate doing promos. TWELVE WINS in a row with GOLD 3 MMR is pretty far ahead of Silver but all of this effort to climb can be cancelled by three loss out of five games. Give me a break.

Youre right Riot needs to fix this... Its not fun anymore is stressing people out trying to win promos and what I find most unfair is that if you dodge a game it automatically counts as a loss... e.g. In my gold promos in the champion selection one player said that he gonna troll the game and what is anyone supposed to do? You cant even leave because it counts as a loss so youre stuck wasting 30 min of your life on a game thats already lost-.-

Not sure if RNGesus just don't like me, but I can climb through LP easy, with decent-great teams, up until I get to promos.

Promos are 100% and without a doubt rigged as fuck and i'm so mad about this bullshit. Like in low elo you atleast get a win and dont get this bullshit LP penalty and shit LP growth overall.

But here? I haven't won a promo since ardent meta started. 9 promos lost into d3, 6 into d4 and one into d2 back then. This season already 3 lost into d4. As if this fuckin elo isnt terrible enough on top of this dogshit balance the game has. The MOMENT i enter promos i get at plat 2 0lp 40% winrate botlane. In. my.fuckin. D4 promos. I get negative winrate plat 2 players. Question is HOW. The game before i played as usual against d4/d5 mix. Second game? Lost at 13 minutes. No not "it was lost but it played until 40". At 13 minutes our nexus exploded with no chance to do ANYTHING. One team had a jungler ganking every lane simoultaneously. The other team didnt. So i guess i lost. And for half a year now it's always the same. After i lost promos i can not win a single fuckin game anymore. Huge losing streak and then win/lose/win/lose into winning streak into promos. This shit is so rigged. 55% winrate which isnt too great but sufficient for diamond. One win into d4 promos and i get plat 2 0lp players. It't just not explainable and no they are not "basically the same skill". Huge fuckin difference between d4 and these plat shits. You already notice it from behaviour. Diamond players flame but usually game related. The game quality is so fuckin shit with this clownfiesta of barely plats and actual diamonds and boosted diamond accounts on top of bad players getting lucky in placements. And as if this isnt all terrible enough there is this artificial grind shit called promos. Just let me get into D4 and give me LP accordingly like let's say: I'm at 85LP and win and get +20 i get into D4 5 LP. Promos from one tier into another is okay and understandable, no lucky streak players and such it's okay but diamond is already hell and all these promos do is make it unnecessarily grindy, frustrating, makes people toxic and stack the odds HEAVILY against you. All while toplane is a fuckin meme anyways.

You know what's worse? You get the worst people.

Last season I NEVER got people who were toxic/inted/afkd until promos. As soon as I got into that game, guy says something like "camp my lane or I'm gonna afk" and true to his word he did, because he died at 4 minutes and our jungle Yi didn't camp him.

Next game we barely managed to win, they had an afk.

Next game I won but my mid laner was so toxic all game, calling everyone trash and throwing the kys out there.

Next game after promotion? Friendly people and good sports. Riot, what the fuck is this? Stop trying to force me to lose to "prove myself" in a team game, or give me the ability to solo carry without being a d1 smurf.

Was in silver one promos and was paired with a person who was in their first ranked game. Surprisingly we lost. Riot has no fucking clue what the fuck they are doing. Can post op.gg for proof.

No promotion games are not necessary. Other MMO's and multiplayer team games use the elo system and it works. Riot just wants to be '''''unique''''' and add a sense of pride and accomplishment for overcoming artificial ddifficulty.

riot games match making system sucks more cocks than its creator, imagine being in plat 4 and getting matched with a guy in his provisionals, who hasnt played for 3 months and plays jungle :) imagine getting matched with a person who just disconnects 1:40 and is afk for 10 minutes and you have no way to remake imagine getting matched with a person that doesn't know how to use his champion. oh wait, this shit happens all the time and riot does nothing to fix it.

I'm old, and miss just seeing our elo, and knowing when you hit a certain level, you would level up to gold lol...no promos, no 5 tiers of silver, just "Man, I did really freaking well, and landed gold, go me"

I got plat 5 with 65% win-rate in solo q. after that i decided to get my flex rank to plat 5. was stuck in gold 1 for 6 promos.

win win win hit promos fail. every time it was the same thing. did I stress out no. if you believe you are better then the elo you are in atm, you will go up doesn't matter if you are unlucky. but then again don't get delusional.

I'm still not 100% on what the game design goal was that necessitates promotion games.

Step 1: Attach leagues to MMR Step 2: When your MMR crosses a certain threshold, you are now in the appropriate league Step 3: There is no step 3.

I can see it in the upper leagues where the skill difference between divisions is much more pronounced, but in low elo where 80% of the players are? No way.

Riot should simply remove promo games from low elo divisions. If you are silver 1 and get to 100 LP - TADAM you are now gold 5 and thats it. I was on a 5-6 games win streak on Shyvana in silver 2, had almost 70% win rate, as soon as I git to promos for silver 1 guess what? I got paired with 5-17 Teisted Fate in my 1st game, 2nd game 0-9 Xin Zhao...And no, I am barely getting carried, Look at my Op.gg, even if i lose i have good scores, I just cant carry someone who dies 17 times in 28 minute game. Like...why don't I deserve a promition If I perform well in my games? Promo games are tilting and based on luck, not on your own performance.

Well....i had break from this game for almost 2 years...i came back, started after first 10 games with gV....almost no loses before promotion series....i lost 3 series without single win to g4, but i hard carried one game later and won....not a single lost game before i hit promotion to g3...it took me again 8 attempts. Then gold 2 and gold 1 both done with a first hit.....then promotion to platinum.....over 16 attempts without single won game (i won every single game outside promotion series). Funny thing is that almost every promotion series i was granted free win. Then i get one promotion series that i lost 2 games and then luckly won 2 last so 3-2 get me to platinum. So it took me like 10 attempts to get from pV to p4, and now i lost my 5th attempt from p4 to p3. In series that i lost i didnt won a single game. I usualy dont rage nor flame, but i noticed one thing. Most of the time when i get into promotions i get a lot, but A LOT more players who troll/range/afk/feed....than in games outside of promotions. And i wonder why is that. If i wasnt good enaugh to get promoted, then i shouldnt win games outside promotions so easly. i played more games in promotions than those outside. And now i have around 90% win ratio for games outside promotions. And i noticed many people who experience similar thing. I got friend who is playing realy well and he lost atm 7 promotions from g3 to g2 when hes hard carrying almost every game he plays... If its not rigged then i have no explanation for this...

Ye, I just deleted League of Legends because of this. I was nicely grinding up from gold 5 to gold 3, and in my promos I get fucking mentally retarded people. So frustrating to climb, maybe impossible. Someones trying to get to the next division, really try, and then there comes a fucking 16 year old %%%% who throws the game at 15 min, after that another throws, and another one. There I am hard trying to do something. What the fuck is the point? Maybe it's just that this is on EUNE and people there are apparently retarded, that I do not know. I'm done with this game. Actually I hope Riot bans this account so I can't frustrate myself more with it. Go ahead and check my latest game. Watch it back and think Riot
