Solo Q is at the WORST state its ever been (League evolution S1-S5)
I'm coming from a game that I won. BECAUSE we 5 man aced them at lvl 1 and there gragas just went afk. Previous game my team had 2 ragequits (stayed afk)
And out of it I realized how absolutely stupid solo queue has gotten.
STORY TIME: SEASON 1 So i started in season 1 and it was great most people were new to moba and was all around just for fun. (that is normals). I still remember that the first ranked games I played I was so nervous and extremely competitive in wanting to win. Sure you had your afkers, people rarely trolled at this early stage of league. But it was a somewhat competetive but also not everyone knows what they were doing.
BUT people actually gave a flying shit of a fuck and tried.
Season 2: An upgrade of season 1 people had watched streams and the first world cup. (with phreak being super nervous and yet still punny in his commentating. Was competetive and it became more of a esport like it is now. And trolls started to emerse every random once in a blue moon game. This is when your friends told you "oh you are in your placements" and you began to shit your pants hearing the horror of trolls/afks
BUT people STILL actually gave a flying shit of a fuck and tried.
Season 3: Now the games really interesting. Lots of pro teams and it's beginning to look like a bright future for league. New jungle changes. It looks like the game is evolving. Champions became more balanced. Rito was REALLY looking at creating a balenced game made for serious competetition. (a game that got more views than a mlb baseball game on ESPN.)
BUT people STILL actually STILL gave a flying shit of a fuck and tried.
Season 4: At this point the competetive scene is well incorporated. League is now one of the top esports becoming larger than they probably thought it ever could. Teams from not just NA Europe and Asia but many other regions incorporated. Wow and I mean WOW. Who would think it would have gotten so worldwide (MR WORLDWIDE) I noticed solo Q would be a bit more relaxed than it should be. 5Team seemed a little more competetive. I think solo q started declining. People just thought whats the point I might as well play as if I'm in normals.
Chicks just started to not dig elo as much

Jump to today Mid season 5 and I can honestly say IT seems like NO ONE gives a flying shit of a fuck and try anymore. I mean even I get caught up in who cares now.
Ranked Solo Q is the new normals games. I don't know if it's because the game is getting older or if people just play ranked that usually play normals because hey its basically the same now right?

Where the hell is the competition now in solo Q, ranked 1 challenger? Man I hope so. Cause plat 2 is just fun and games now
