Refer a friend program question. Can I get banned for this?

I live in a household with 4 other roommates and they have from time to time watched me play LoL but never played it themselves. I want to refer them to it so i can maybe rack in a few RAF rewards. However since we are all under the same roof we all share the same internet connection.

If I were to refer them, would this be considers cheating the RAF program and can I get banned for it?

Don't take my word on this but I don't think it'll be a problem if your roommates join in. You probably won't receive any punishment. And even if you do, just explain the misunderstanding in a support ticket and you'll be fine.

I dont think so. it would suck especially if you are doing it legitimately, but im sure they'll see especially if you guys do play together from time to time that you arent abusing the system!

I doubt it. There's more to their checks for smurfs than just IP addresses. Among other things, they check play-times and gameplay preferences.

If you've got a network with multiple computers online, you'll see even less of an issue, especially if you play together or at the same time.
