What champion should i get?

So i'm fairly new, only level 16, and looking for a new champ. I like assassins, support, adc's a bit, mobile people, and high skill people like TF. If you could recommend a champ for me to get that would be great. P.S. A lot of people I play with say that i like champions that have a lot of, "outplay potential" what is this? It sounds kinda kewl thou! :P See you on the rift!

Thresh. Become a good Thresh player and you will rule the world.

Thanks, I've tried out thresh when he was in free rotation and he is soooooo much fun. But what is outplay potential?

A good Thresh can solo carry games. Unfortunately, I suck with Thresh. Nautilus is a solid option as well, as you can peel for days. He has so much crowd control that when you get into a fight, you can focus it on multiple targets than just one. Thresh is more like Blitz in the fact you focus on getting 1 target down than the whole team at once.

Outplay potential just means that you have the ability to be better than a person in a 1v1. So Zed takes high mechanical skills to use properly, so using his shadows to dodge skillshots after a deathmark would be considered an outplay. This is why champions like Zed or Lee Sin are very popular, as it's more than just Lux hitting a bind, orb and ult.

Thanks for clearing up outplay potential, but besides landing thresh's Q, using his W effectively, and using his E to knock back enemies, what kind of outplay potential does thresh have?

A lot, but you're required to go in most times. If you want to watch some good Thresh players, check out BunnyFufu, Remilia and MadLife. They're all accredited Thresh players. By far, MadLife and BunnyFufu have some insane plays, but Remilia was on Renegades (and is a girl), but retired after getting into the LCS.

EDIT: Thresh's flay can stop a lot of gap closers, which makes him an asset if you can manage to time it properly. There's a BunnyFufu highlight where he flays Tristana's "Rocket Jump" in mid air to completely stop it.

Here's a highlight reel from 2015, not all the people I mentioned above, but shows you some outplay potential. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2VD2G5dq9A

Zed is perfect then, assassin and outplay potential, first.

I tried Zed when he was in free rotation like 2-3 weeks ago, but he seemed too reliant on his ult, just like talon.

PabloMaster543211 votes

Hmm, early game yes, but the passive and poke is good, just get cdr.

His poke is good, yes, but I feel he can't secure too many kills without using his ult, as it deals a lot of damage, and is a gap closer. Also, his abilities do not deal a great amount of damage and he is fairly squishy. Are you a Zed main?

PabloMaster543211 votes

Not a "main" but i play zed fairly a lot.

Vel'Koz has good outplay potential. There's also Kindred.
