Why do so many people hate support?
so. recently I have seen a increase in '#)%^ AUTTOFILL' posts,generally saying they hate support and not why. so yeah... [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

they claim its boring and no fun , that they dont feel they have an impact in the outcomes of games. and they wanna "carry" and get "kills" cuz they think that is what the game is about and thats how you win
but i say this as someones last game was sona support who went 12-10-22 and had the most damage in the game of both teams with over 47k damage to champs
Because they are all selfish dweebs who think they have to get the kills to look good. They are also the ones who call KS every time they don't get kill.
Actually, the reason nobody plays it isn't because they don't impact the game. Most supports generally impact the games the most (second to junglers rather). People don't like it for a multitude of reasons

Nobody wants to be stuck in lane supporting a bad adc. It's the worst feeling when you can't cs or do anything in lane cause you're busy worrying about the stupid adc that tries to tower dive every 2 seconds and you know leaving lane generally reports in the adc being toxic(er) and just causes the game to go downhill from there

Rito games keeps allowing supports to be pushed out by mages. So you just flat out don't see the normal supports bot lane these days.

Item diversity. support item, Sighstone,boots you just lost 3 item slots for being queued as a support as they are typically a necessity. Depending on you being a tank or ap support you generally have your other 3 items already planned out as they don't change much
There's lots more reasons but im sure you get the point. Generally speaking supports just don't get any love from Rito and whenever they do it usually gets nerfed because solo laners abuse it.
It's pretty clear to see why, this coming from a main.
Being poor seldom feels good.
Being poor and tied to someone elses apron strings usually feels less good.
Having your success attached to a Vayne main who specializes in tumbling into the enemy team and complaining about the lack of peel is worse.
What really sets me off though, is the being raged at if I happen to end up with a kill. Never going to queue for support until that changes.
I actually don't mind support in games like Heros of the Storm, because there I feel like a real player when I do so, and there's no 'killsteal' raging.
If I play a support tank, I don't have the budget to be tanky for most of the game, and if I play something that I play elsewhere (sup naut for example) I often end up feeding due to being so much weaker than jungle naut, and VASTLY weaker than top naut.
A lot of people find it boring anymore because of how a lot of mages are pushing their way into the support role. So going an actual support isn't cutting it anymore. Plus the diversity in items are quite limited. Its mainly just items that heal or give you shields. I still think the support roles shouldn't get that much hate. Its actually pretty fun if you have the right ADC.[slayer-jinx-catface]

Because you sometimes get a team where no one s worth supporting. And then you lose. The end.
pretty much what leichy said. When you're support you depend entirely on your team and you're left completely helpless if your team decides to troll you. In that kind of situation there's nothing you can do, you have no gold, no item, not a carry champ, you can't 1v1 anyone on the other team, you cannot waveclear, you cant take objective, you literally cannot do anything. And we, the na community, are famous for the trollerinos.
people want to have a lane to themselves and not have to rely on sharing and teamwork - so mid, jungle, top.
