Need a new use for IP.

Hello All,

Surely I can't be the only one with this thought. We are currently nearing the end of Season 5. That's 5 years of League of Legends. In these 5 years I'm sure a vast majority of us have run out of uses for our IP. When that champion and rune list in the shop hits 0 and your IP just starts racking up you reach a point where you just go, "WTF am I doing with my life". Sure. We can all just buy whatever new champion Riot throws at us but what about the time period in-between new champions. Am I expected to change my Summoner name every week for the sake of doing something with my IP? I don't know. I seriously think a new use for our IP needs to be implemented.

I have pooled together a couple of suggestions:

Restricted gifting of champions to friends:

Allow summoners to gift friends a champion for twice the regular IP price and restrict champion gifting to one champion a week to any player.

Rent a skin:

Like how Riot allows you to rent a skin for RP in ARAM. I think there should be a function in normal games and ranked games where we can rent a skin for IP just for that game. Could even work for wards.

I know. I'm sure there's a lot of you thinking both these suggestions could easily be abused and or Riot will lose money, QQ. But honestly. I really believe there needs to be another use for IP. Something. Anything!!!

How do you guys even have that much ip? I've been playing since the day the game was released and I still only have 5 rune pages with some runes shared between them and maybe 1/3 of the champions, most being in the 450-3150 range. With a job ect, I usually can play 1-2 games daily and 5 or so games on days off, so you guys must be averaging like 10-15 games a day.

Or maybe some way to gamble it could be interesting. Like make a bet of 500 IP, and if you win your next game, you get all or some of the IP back, and a little RP.

It's funny how threads about IP tend to be either 1) Speed up IP gains so I can get what I don't have, or 2) I've run out of stuff to get with IP.
