Riot your gifting rules are unfair, i cant even gift my cousin on christmas

Riot please change your rules, they're ridiculous. I cant gift my cousin a skin before christmas because we havent been friends long enough even though I've know this guy all my life!

I deleted him from my friends list last week as a joke and now i get a message saying he hasnt been in my friends list long enough? Thats ridiculous. The time limit should like 5 days, not 2 weeks. Im not even sure if the legacy skins will still be here by the time i can gift him.

I've already talked to riot support and they said they are working on it, but how do i know you arent just telling me what i want to hear? I've seen posts that go years back with the same problems and you didnt do anything and still havent done anything. I would think these rules would be a bit more lenient around christmas time anyways...

i thought that restriction was removed! and isnt there after game gifting now? Play a game with him, gift him a surprise gift after the game!!!

They're there for good reason just think about the situation you would be in if someone hacked your account and was immediately able to drain your account of RP.

5 days is plenty of time to recover your account. 2 week's too much he says. he's pretty right.

I'm not following. If someone hacked your account, they could drain you of RP regardless of whether or not you have added a new friend. They could gift to everyone you are already friends with, gift random people at the end of games, or buy a bunch of stupid things.

If gifts could be given right away a third party site with the usernames and passwords of a number of accounts could secretly use those accounts to give skins to their customers for a lower price. Riot obviously does not want a business like this to be a thing.

Basically it has nothing to do with draining RP from an account, and has everything to do with keeping people who would do this from being able to make money off it.

If they have your account for 5 days or more, its already gone. But why 2 weeks???? Thats ridiculous
