Hey Rito, How About Authenticators?

This has been bothering me for quite a bit; why does Riot not support authentication? Google authenticator or their own system like Blizzard, it keeps your account safe and secure, and a lot less hacking will happen. I was just curious cause I authenticate every game that supports it with Winauth on my PC, (which is an authenticator for the pc that supports google etc,) and it would be awesome if I could just double check and make sure my sweet expensive LoL account is shiny and untouched.

Not to overshadow, but potentially Riot could make an authentication app.

While they are at it, they could make a random keygen too, for when playing in public.

cause they are a joke. They assume that you have X tech. Plus if you lose your phone you lose your account most of the time.

They are a horrible idea

You want to make sure your account is safe, try the normal things. Like...

Not sharing passwords not logging in on a unknown computer Not duplicating passwords between accounts(like steam, league, gmail, ect).

Follow these 3 things, odds are that you will not have to worry about your league account ever.

How do you even lose a phone? If you're responsible you won't loose something as valuable as a phone just whoopsey daisy.
There are pc authentication apps, phone apps, and for example, Blizzard has an authenticator keychain. It's not impossible.
Hackers can easily get your shit without trying, my sister got hacked and she's extremely safe, on a mac. So yes it's possible to get hacked using those methods.
