For Oldies Who Came From Dota
Hello! I have to admit. I am an oldie. I used to get my moba fix back in University while playing the original DOTA. Man were those fun times. I really enjoyed that game. Holler to all Sand King mains. Back in the day I loved his ultimate, smacking the ground and shooting out waves that often did enough damage to kill most anyone aside from super tanks. Then the blink dagger came out and whenever I used that ult people slipped away undamaged. And I was too much of a noob to buy one myself. Well, I stopped playing that game after finishing up Uni and getting a job. But after a while without mobas, I learned about LoL. I gave it a try and I have to admit I did enjoy it. Sure, Vladimir was a pain in the butt and getting picked every single game, but overall it was a pretty fun experience. Akali was annoying too, but compared to today's assassins I almost find her merciful. Out came Leblanc, Fizz, Yasuo, Zedd, Lee Sin, the Fiora rework and IMO LoL was pretty much ruined. I can't stand it anymore. I thought I'd maybe play a game today since I haven't played in ages, but I just can't be bothered to either have someone on my team or on the enemy team get fed with one of these so called carries and take over the game all on their own. Call me lame, call me averse to chance, but LoL really doesn't do it for me anymore. In every regard it has pretty much gotten worse over the past 2 years. Which leads me to the main point of this thread. I've been thinking about jumping into DOTA 2. Have any of you old dota glory days players who went to LoL jumped into DOTA 2? Did it feel the same way it did like back in the glory days? I remember the game being extremely satisfying no matter what champ you played. You didn't feel gimped based on champ select. Sure, there were problematic champs like Riki, but overall, it felt pretty fair. So there you have it. Do you recommend dota 2 for me based on my specs? Cheers.
