(Need your help) Hextech Rerolls!

So I went and asked this question in Ask Riot, but I doubt I'll get an answer, so I'm recruiting you guys to help me out. The question is: How is compensation Essence calculated from Rerolls? Whenever three Hextech items are rerolled into a lower quality item, the player is given a compensation of Essence. I don't know how this compensation is calculated, and I want to find out.

So whenever you do a reroll, note the quality of the skins (390, 460, 520, 750, 975, 1350, 1820, 2450, 3250) or champions (260, 585, 790, 880, 975) you're using and whether you're using fragments or permanents, and then report the quality of skin or champion you got and how much bonus Essence you got. If this thread can get a lot of responses, I'll see if I can find any trends in loot quality used, obtained loot quality, and additional Essence. If someone could help me decipher the data that'd be great too.

As an example of the format I want,

975 Skin Fragment 1350 Skin Fragment 1350 Skin Fragment

= 975 Skin, 0 Essence

You are not given any compensation whatsoever. Rerolls are completely random regardless of the quality of shards you use and you do not receive any extra from getting lower quality items, nor does it cost more for getting a higher quality one.
