Okay, this is a touchy subject for a lot of people.

I feel that Championship Riven should be made available again. I already own the skin (bought it day one.), but want it available for others to own.

Here's my reasons:

  1. Riot's already rereleased many limited skins, and compensated the previous owners appropriately.
  2. With Riot expiring all the remaining unclaimed CS Riven code cards, now there's no legit way to obtain the skin.
  3. Riot even admitted that releasing CS Riven as a Limited skin was a mistake, and it was originally supposed to be Legacy. The fact they missed their chance last season when CS Thresh was released confuses the situation further, especially with the skin's rerelease for the S4 Worlds.
  4. This will have a hand in discouraging hacking/theft of accounts of people trying to obtain the skin through illigetimate means.

Some downsides:

  1. Special Snowflakes whining about not having a rare skin anymore. GET OVER IT! You had your chance when the old holiday skins were made Legacy, and CS Riven is the last Limited skin that has yet to be made Legacy. Riot compensated you in a fair manner.
  2. "Inadequate compensation" claims. Okay, how is the full price refunded to your account, a unique loading screen image, and a unique summoner icon (for those who don't already have said icon from the holiday rerelease) inadequate? Are you saying you are putting a price on your feelings of pride?

Community, your thoughts? Also, if any Rioter can comment on this, it'd be welcome. In fact...

Bought Championship Riven when she came out (and I don't even play her). Don't care if she's re-sold. Just slap that "omg-first-time-buyer-omg" border on players/accounts who bought Championship Riven in Season 2 (and Championship Thresh in Season 3). Only sell Championship Skins during Worlds Finals (for a weekend, week, whatever)

There is absolutely nothing exclusive/special about Championship Riven other than Riot pretending there is.

If they don't re-release Cs Riven this worlds; I feel it will be a slap to the face for those of us who bought Cs Thresh S3

I feel like it should be re-released. I cant imagine myself not being able to get chp Thresh. And people who bought it so they could feel special? Well maybe you shouldnt have spent lots of money on a single skin through third party websitr

Just wanted to say, codes are still redeemable if you have the physical code card. Idk if you email it to customer support, or mail the actual card or what, but if I'm not mistaken they said proof will get you your skins.

Not true, there is still King Rammus, Silver Kayle, Black Alistar, Judgement Kayle, Riot Singed(?), Pax Skins(which I don't think legally can come back), Victorious Skins(kind of), and maybe a few more I am missing.

Riot compensated you in a fair manner.

"Fair" is an opinion. I don't consider it fair seeing I don't need more RP, I don't want the watermark loading screen, and the icon is boring compared to many others. Also, the Icon brought up controversy between people who owned 1-2 skins versus those who had many.

That being said, I think CS Riven should be re-released but compensate the owners based on what they feel is fair, not what others think is fair. I don't own CS Riven, so I can't say what is fair for these owners, but if my LE skins were given the same treatment, I would enjoy something in game changed about my skin, a glow or a simple particle effect, that kept it special.

Bumping this, because Worlds is here and almost over. I REALLY want to see Championship Riven back in the store for a limited time. I main Riven, but I joined in Season 3 and didn't have a chance to get her.
