I don't know what it is, but it's not to have fun! I was landing some great jukes with LeBlanc so I was laughing mid, just having a good time. Tristana calls me out for "trying to laugh and act cool when I've got no kills". (Nevermind that I was supporting and was 0/3/8 at that time.) Then this happened.

(I then proceeded to educate him on how the original meaning of "gay" referred to a man who was promiscuous with multiple women. If I'm not mistaken, American gamers tend to view that as a compliment, so I thanked him for it.)

I'm somewhat shocked you were assumed to be male at all. The last time I said "gosh", my teammate instantly replied with "u girl?"

As for viewing straight male assumed promiscuity as a compliment... I'm not actually sure. I've seen lots of [presumably straight male] players using diction evoking physical and sexual violence against women ("I fucked that bitch up"). But aside from occasional assertions about having "fucked urmom", male promiscuity is largely absent from the discussion.
