I keep losing all desire to play this game just by looking at my available champions.
I just hit level 20 on this account recently, so all my saved IP has now gone to runes. I'm still missing several important runes, though, so I have to get those before I can start getting any actually interesting champions. (Buying the cheapest T3 runes basically only leaves you with a usable AD page and a semi-usable AP one. The cheap runes don't include any decent reds for AP champions, and no AS runes at all.)
This isn't my first account, but now it's the only one I can play on, and I can barely bring myself to play it because I don't own any champions I actually want to play. I'm used to actually being able to choose from more than the 12 champs I currently own, half of whom I don't even like playing and only got because there's not much choice for cheap champs.
I never really had any mains, but I enjoyed a lot of champs well enough. Most of them are in the 4800-6300 IP price range, though. I can't prioritize any champs over others, though, because I'm about equally (un) skilled with all of them.
I don't even want to play the free rotation champions because if I happen to do well as one, I'm greeted with the "you must own this champ to get rewards" message, and it just feels defeating even if you won the game.
- I need runes so I'm not at a disadvantage later.
- I need more champs to actually make the game feel 'fun' to play.
- Both of these cost IP, which I'm not getting at a decent rate because matchmaking seems to have something against me on this account.
- I'm not spending any more money on RP for this account. I spent enough on my first account, I'm not giving in and throwing tons of money at another one.
What do I do? Who do I buy? Do I save and buy only runes? Which of the MANY champions that I want to play do I prioritize, if any?
This multi-directional grind is driving me crazy and preventing me from just sitting down and playing the game anymore. I'm so used to having over a hundred champs to select from that having only a tenth of that, with no chance of expanding that roster by any appreciable margin any time soon, that I'm losing enthusiasm.
Sorry for the rant, I just wanted to get it off my chest.
