Help me pick out a new laptop League community

Well I'm heading off to college now and excited to have an actual decent wifi connection (my home wifi is utterly terrible, I've had better in hotels.) I've been using the same shitty school laptop for the past 4 years (of high school ofc) and finally have the chance to get my own laptop that hopefully runs faster than a toaster.

In any case, I need help choosing one that will run League well (and also World of Tanks I guess, LoL and WoT is all I play). I would also prefer it if it wasn't an obvious gaming laptop because if I buy something with the label "pro gaming" or whatever on it my parents will get the right idea about what I'm planning to use it for mostly (hint: not schoolwork). I'm also choosing to avoid macs since I'm pretty sure I could get a better value at a lower price from other brands ^^'

My college has a few requirements that I think any recently released laptop should meet but posting them here just in case:

Windows Intel Core i5 or i7 | 4 GB RAM | 80 GB Drive Internal Wireless Card Sophos Antivirus (as in the ability to run Sophos, I believe we get the program from the college or something)

Your wireless network card or built-in wireless card must support the following: •802.11g and/or 802.11n protocol(s). To ensure optimal connectivity and performance, we strongly recommend 802.11n wireless cards. •WiFi Protected Access (WPA2) •All devices must connect directly to the wireless network, not via a router or other access point. Hubs, wireless printers, and personal wireless access points or routers are not permitted and will not connect to the Knox network.

So, uh yeah. Umm, preferred price range! I would prefer to stay under $1000, if at all possible. Also, it would be nice if the laptop isn't too specialized (as in, I can drive down to Best Buy and purchase it.)

Don't buy laptops from best buy. Anything you are getting straight off the counter is terribly overpriced. I would wait until black Friday, or some other promotion, but you're probably not willing to wait that long.

Anyways, $1000 is more than enough to buy a laptop that meets your specs (80 GB drive? Do you mean SSD? A 1 tb hard drive only runs for around $50). Searching online, here are a few links:

Refurbished laptops run for even lower, maybe $250 for i5 500 gb and $400 for i7 1 tb. I don't know about World of Tanks, but league doesn't take much to run on max graphics. League should runs smoothly (aka 60 fps on max settings) on any of the laptops listed above. My advice? Don't pay a extra $200-$300 premium just for a fancy case, keyboard, and graphics card. Just get a standard retail laptop, i3 processor and 500 gb hard drive with decent screen size and battery life, look for online deals and wait till black Friday if you can. Most retail stores have discounted gift cards you can buy from third party sites. Staples is 20% off, best buy around 10%, etc. Just my 2 cents.

dont listen to silver kids go to ibuypower.com find what you need, just look up specs for the game(s) and get what you need, most of those comps can do it all.
