Are pink wards really worth your life?

Are they really? Whenever someone sees a pink ward they HAVE to kill it even if every source of danger is right behind them. I've seen so many people get caught out because they HAD to slay that dastardly diabolical pink ward the second they spot it.

When you know where one is, just play around it until its safe to destroy it. It doesn't need to die right that second even if YOU'LL die as a result, thats not worth it.
