"You believe Riot can do no wrong"

This is not an open letter hate mail to Riot, nor is it the opposite, a brown nosing, kowtowing love letter. Sorry if that is what you came to see.

I was told not too long ago in a different discussion that we, the League of Legends Board Community, believe that Riot can do no wrong (as the title suggests). Now, I obviously can not speak for the community, but I do not believe this to be so. I feel that many people who frequent the discussion boards have an invested interest in the game. We visit to voice our concerns, to identify issues, to make suggestions, to peek at what is, or may be to come, and sometimes simply to troll and have a good time. This does not sound to me like a community who has 100% satisfaction with EVERYTHING that Riot has produced in the past, nor are we under the impression that Riot is a oblivious and apathetic company who doesn't care about it's community. If we believed either of those things there would be no activity on the boards at all. We would either uninstall, or sit back and patiently wait with baited breath for the next golden nugget to come sliding out of Riot's shiny rectum...

I apologize for the graphic nature of that last description, I got a bit overzealous.

... But I digress.

This is what I believe. Do I believe that Riot can do no wrong, of course not, but I do believe that they know what they are doing. They are at the very least capable of making a decision and going with it, and then they identify if it was a sucess or failure, which is a legitimate strategy for any business. However, my real belief for the real genius that is 'the wizards of Riot', is that they have a plan that we are not yet aware of.

In my opinion the most beautiful thing about this game is that it is constantly changing, and as a result, I am constantly having to adapt to it. In order to be successful at all, Riot needs to be at least 3 steps ahead of all of us. I guarantee you, when they do something that the community doesn't like, they expect the backlash, but they know that the changes they are making are intended to balance themselves out when the next changes come to light.

Sooo, maybe this did turn into a bit of a love letter. It wasn't really meant to be one, but I am a bit sleep deprived and I may be embellishing a tad. Overall, I try not to stress so much about when things change because I know they are going to. I know that there will be buffs here, followed by nerfs, followed by more buffs, .. until one thing is 'just right', .. and then there will be an explosion over there in the distance. "What was that!? What? Teemo is one-shotting everyone?"
