Suggestion to improve Fiddlesticks' 3 sec. fear (with the nerf)

So there's some controversy now about changing the duration of Fiddlesticks' fear from 3 sec to 2.3 sec. I have been feared many times, and yes it does suck to lose control of your character for what feels like 45 minutes, being unable to fight back while Fiddlesticks drains you (literally) to death.

But nerfing the fear from 3 sec. hurts the use of the Fear when its a genuine CC and not used in a damage/CC combo. If you need to run, for example, the Fear is exceptional. So, taking that into account, why can't there be a change to the Fear where it still operates for 3 sec, but the effect is diminished on-hit/ability by damage, lowering it to the desired 2.3 or even below to 2 sec.

That way, you could still get use from the Fear as a CC for disengaging but the feared player isn't punished while being attacked while feared.

Thoughts?

Fiddlesticks ...couldn't resist. I mean, that's why we have these forums, yes?

Fear should do 1 of 2 things, Fight or Flight, you eithe rrun AWAY not in a circle like a fucking moron.. or 2 it causes the champ to run directly to you and try to kill you like a taunt.

I personally vote to make his drain ticks not count as over time damage.... and increase his movement speed by 10 and his e damage.... basically increase his clear speed and let rylai's slow give his drain more time to work.... it effectively makes him stronger while stile giving you outplay abilities against him instead of being feared for so long

Fear is an annoyingly random CC that doesn't make much logical sense. It would awesome if it made you run away from him for 3 seconds. At least then he'd have to consider using it a little more effectively.

As for nerfing it, I think it could be diminished based on whether or not Fiddle is attacking. So if he fears and runs, he gets the full 3 seconds, but if he starts draining or casts his ult, the fear length is reduced.

That would satisfy me.
