Eye of the Equinox's icon is just awful. It doesn't look anything like it's root theme.

Sorry to put it so bluntly, but the Eye of the Equinox icon is just awful. Eye of the Watchers and Eye of the Oasis both share a cool blue or sandy tan/gold color with their respective root items, Frostfang and Nomad's medallion . Both eyes appear to come from, or at least be related to, their base items in some respect.

But Eye of the Equinox has NO thematic link to Targon's Brace . Silver and purple? What? From a root item that is black and gold? Rito pls.

Eye of the Equinox deserves better.

Probably because the link has yet to be explored in Targon. We're going there in a few months (hopefully).

The Eye of Equinox indicates a few things, firstly celestial reverence and that Mount Targon is in a geographical position that allows them to see and understand what an Equinox actually is, which puts forth the idea that Mount Targon is on Runeterra's equator, where at an equinox day and night would be exactly the same amount of time.

So save your judgement for when we actually get to see what Mount Targon's about, because we have sod all to go on about them other than these four items and the three champions native to the region, who're a mismatch of stuff that indicates little specifics.
