Why is there such a big difference in the reaction to Tyler1's banning between Reddit and the Boards

(Tried posting this on Reddit but the mods there are a bunch of losers)

The thread on Reddit has thousands of upvotes and hundreds of people basically saying "Yep, we all saw it coming, he reaped what he sowed", meanwhile the boards thread has thousands of downvotes and hundreds of people defending Tyler and complaining about Riot, attacking Meteos, calling them both hypocrites, etc.
