Riot's in depth description of character abilities

Bare minimum... literally... this screen shot is a good example of information that players would want to know.

I don't understand why Riot doesn't add AD/AP ratios, level base damage, type of damage, or how about how the skill works at all?

I think they want to keep it simple for new players. A new player would read that wall of text and come out of it with nothing. The simple sentence, while too vague for experienced players, is easier for them to swallow.
