Kids these days... Letterly the only thing I told in chat was "29k damage ^^" and I got reported for it. Riot really need to start putting a punishment on false reports. I got so many false reports lately I recieved this warning 2 times this week...

And the best part is ever since I reset my pc I play with the all command off so how in the name does this reports count.

Those in-client pop-up warnings are not triggered by single reports, but by a spike in reports representing an unusually high number of reports issued in an unusually short amount of a time for your account.

They also are not displayed immediately after being triggered, but instead have a delay of some unknown amount of time/games before they show up.

In short: You did not receive that warning for that game.

That's just the point:

From the duration off 25/10 till 4/11 I played 44 games: 15 Hexakill, 16 Teambuilder, 12 draft and 1 Coop vs AI. While playing Hexakill I can't remember a single situation where someone flamed since it was a troll mode anyway. The same counts for the AI game.

This leaves us with 28 games. And in the past 30 games I believe I didn't say more than 2 lines of text communicate towards my own team or player beside ping and jungle timers. Their wasn't a single action that should aim towards a report and unless their is like a 50 games delay on the warning something is clearly wrong.

What's the point of a warning system if I would have a delay like that. I actualy wanted to contact support after my first warning that I recieved arround 1/11/2014 when playing normal 5 normal games. Before I just played like Hexakill games so I have no idea how in the name I managed to get a warning message triggered. I remember really good I didn't say a single word on 4/5 of those games and I used the ignore button for 3/5 of those games. I only remember I had some bad games because the big euw lag combined with gpu, ping troubles. All this together while training your worst role isn't that great. I'm almost sure I got false reported for those games. Even when I did nothing wrong.

Trust me dude their is something fishy going on with the report system and I only see 2 possible situations that can explane it:

  • Their servers are rusty and the warning system is delayed with more than 50 games.
  • The system recieves a hugh amount of false reports and automaticly generates a warninig.

At least part of the reason for the delay is to obfuscate who reported you, in an effort to prevent retaliation. While I think that's commendable, and I'm sure it does that job just fine, I do believe that it leads to a whole different problem. The lack of clear communication about the delay tends, I think, to lead to false retaliation, where players lay blame and retaliate against people who had nothing to do with the warning. It's unfortunate, and I would think it'd be easy to fix with better communication about how the pop-ups worked.

While the weight of reports is applied to determining whether a pop-up warning is issued, the validity of those reports is not. They aren't checked against what you've actually done, because they don't actually represent any form of punishment or sanction. They're just a warning, intended to help you catch yourself if you're going on tilt. Again, I feel that better communication about this would be a great help to Riot overall.

Altogether, this means that yes, you can receive this pop-up purely from false reports. It's unlikely (because it's fairly unlikely to receive a high number of false reports that have high weight to them in a short period of time), but it is possible. But it isn't a punishment. It doesn't mean that you're close to a punishment, or that you will be punished. It's just a heads-up that you've been getting reported a lot.

Actual punishments are reviewed to ensure validity of the reports. If you genuinely haven't done anything, you won't be punished, no matter how many people issue blatantly false reports against you.

Keep in mind, though, that when I say false reports, I do mean reports that were issued on games where you genuinely did nothing that could be considered toxic. I do not mean reports that were issued on games where you did something toxic, but not what the report said.

As an example of that last: A report for intentional feeding on a game where they flamed both teams while not giving up any kills is technically not a "false report" according to the system, because there was still toxicity present, even if it wasn't the form indicated by the report.

Actualy false reports get past the system during the semi-automated actions and the overload of work for the staffs that works on this. This was a riot statement about the issue:

I can understand the frustration behind not hearing a response. With the Tribunal down, Player Support is under more stress than usual to address the questions from players who end up banned by our alternative audits. Thankfully, work on the new Tribunal is underway, and with its return we'll see Reform Cards which will help make it a lot easier for players to understand the reasons behind their ban. Any time you're banned you'll get a link to a webpage containing the matches and chat logs which led to your ban. In the meantime though, players have to reach out to Player Support for answers and we'll do our best to respond in a timely manner.

W.o.w. riot tries to work with this poor system until they managed to finish the new Tribunal.

That statement relates expressly to the lack of automated responses to sanctions, and the possible delay in response time from Support personnel for players who are seeking information about why they were banned.

There's not a single word in there about the people issuing the bans being overworked to the point of falsely punishing players.

And if they aren't falsely punishing players, then the false reports aren't leading to punishments. Which means they're caught, since that's where the validity of reports is determined.
