Dear Riot,

Lately, the Lore forum has been filled with people pissing on you because of your decisions to remove Institute of War and League of Legends and the Summoners concept (I know that we players are still called Summoners). It is just... very unpleasant, seeing people act overly entitled and claiming that they're better writers. I think they are really just consumed with rage. The forum turns into a big mob mentality that anyone saying not in their opinion will get their posts downvoted, or worse, being called having a superiority complex, etc. I think it all went down to these things:

  • They cannot see how the cast interact with each other without the Institute of War and League of Legends (organization)
  • They were too attached with their role as a Summoner and the thought of they will not be a part of the universe shakes them greatly.

So, Riot, is there anything you can do to calm these guys down and at least make the forum a more pleasant place by addressing these parts? Maybe at least just reveal exactly how you're going to explain how the characters can now interact WITHOUT those organizations. I believe that you will come up with a reason to justify such interaction.

Unlike the others, I'm still believing you and will still follow through what's going on. But still, I await your answers.

What's unpleasant is a post that attempts to toady favor by way of slander. Entitlement means you believe Riot owes you something, like a response to this thread.

You go find my post that says "keep the summoners or else" please.

I have repeatedly said Riot did a crap job on this roll-out and that with so much time to plan this, I can't fathom why. I still haven't seen a lick of storytelling that couldn't have kept the previous lore intact.

You are attributing to me some else's comment on Riot's success on the back of the players by the way. I didn't say that either.

You took a personal shot at the guy who chimed in with his professional work experience in the opening post. His opinion was Riot's lore team isn't doing much.

I've seen your posts in the the last couple days and it's a full onslaught of you talking about other summoners being ragey and "entitled", and how you're getting downvoted.

The forums are designed with voting in place to "make sure you vote for the content that you want to see more of."
