i think people wouldn't have much of a problem with his champions. Hes got the fun to play and watch parts down, just needs to get the doesn't suck to play against part.

3 of his 5 champions are Darius, Thresh and Zyra.
His last two have been really shitty, design wise, but it isn't all his champions. It's almost exclusively Kalista who is a problem right now.
The problem with making non-mobility champions now, is the last champion that doesn't have mobility was 
and look where he is now.
The compensation when making a champion (or any character in a game really) is balance in flow. If the champion has tons of mobility, they shouldn't have that much CC --- vice versa --- as there is a Yin-Yang to every champion.
Example:
- No CC (ult doesn't count because it isn't her doing the knock-up in a way) But has infinite jumps.
- No CC. But has 3 dashes, with a new dash every assist/kill and has a smoke-screen for a speed-up.
Mobility is hard to implement, I agree. However, there is always a downside to the mobility.
