Riot would probably have to give us more info on Ryze to give us a fair judgment, but here's what I know about Quan Chi.

  • Capable in hand-to-hand combat (something Ryze lacks).
  • Able to use necromancy easily.
  • Thousands of years of combat experience.
  • Has been dead before, but has been resurrected as well.
  • Able to create portals to the Netherrealm with ease, as well as portals for other uses.
  • Somewhat reliant on Shinnok to utilize his full powers.

Quan Chi can kick Ryze's ass.

Ryze might have a durability advantage, though. Riot needs to shine more light on Ryze's canon capabilities for us to make a fair call.
