...The ADC role is NOT the problem.

The problem is those of you refusing to adapt to what the role requires now, and the champions that fit the role best currently.

You can't just pick Vayne into Cait/Ashe/Jhin/Varus, and expect to win lane, on top of being near useless in most team fights right now. It is about having control of the game and the team fights, as well as the objectives. You can't get away with playing like a Bronze 5 and just running around the jungle chasing kills, you have to know WHEN and WHERE to go.

I am not seeing people lose bot right now because "oh noes 5 bot", but because people don't know matchups, refuse to ward lane bushes or just the river bush once every 3 minutes, only want to pad their kda and don't have a clue how to actually fight against tanks let alone with tanks.

This isn't season 6 where you could just slap on some items and go ham, you have to be much more tactical and have much better positioning, and I'll get downvoted for all of this, but it isn't the role that is the problem right now, it is the people playing the role, refusing to change with the meta. Tired of seeing the 1/14 vayne crying about being camped or dove, but buying the same items, playing the same way, and never learning.

tl;dr It isn't the role of ADC that is bad in season 7, it is the people playing ADC in season 7 that is bad, because they refuse to adapt.

I mean even in higher elo, you see guys like Sneaky instantly dying from one ability on steam. As an adc there is not much option for counter play, and when there is it might require sums which isn't always up.

Even with a banshee's veil or spirit visage, its still pretty easy to get 1 shot as an adc by most assassins or mages without much time for reaction.

It isn't the role ADC thats bad It isn't the players that are bad (are you calling LCS pros bad at adcs?) Its every other role is fucking oppressive.

Tanks, fighters, mages, assassins, redemption, adcs can't do anything because there's so much going on this season they can't even do their job. Even their own lane become absolutely unhandleable with mages 100-0ing them as they try to last hit or freeze under tower (mal, zyra, ziggs, i seen a fucking syndra adc, who actually built adc.. and it just snowballed crazy off bot lane with raw base damage alone), junglers always ganking bot lane cause they would rather get xp and gold off two kills and a tower instead of doing that now boring jungle clear, and the classifactions might as well be divided into three categories: Divers, Mages, Shit, which gives adcs no breathing room when the meta is 100-0 champs and vi.
