One thing 6 of the 11 lowest winrate champs have in common
They all have purple in their base skins:
. Plus
has a tiny bit of purple in her base skin too.
and
aren't that high in winrate either. However, I'd like to point out only two purples champ are in the top winrate
.
Now you'd think that this is all a coincidence and that the issue revolves around balance issues for the champs and how hey don't fit into the current environment. I mean purple having a 300% bigger chance to be in the bottom winrate than the top winrate is clearly just because of the small sample size. Well you thought wrong! :O Prepare to be amazed.
I was watching a video earlier about how color effects winrate in games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X31K6jammH0
I think one thing is perfectly clear. Playing someone who is a moderate between a red or blue champ hurts your chances of winning overall. Why? Because the gameplay is balanced such that seeing purple puts you in a frame of mind that hurts your game in this meta. This meta + the mood purple puts you in is clearly not in your favor. Or perhaps that other guy seeing purple means they are put in a frame of mine where they are going to win more than you. Purple is clearly the reverse red in this meta.
