@Riot - Why no In-Game Mods?

Most other games that I play have in-game mods that handle the basic things such as muting the badly behaving players, but not necessarily banning anyone. Why is this not a system that has been implemented in to league? We play the games and can see the Toxicity first hand to make the mutes more quick and actually get some of this bad blood out of this game. I understand that a lot of people will probably watch their mouths if in-game mods showed up in order not to get banned, but there will still be those or slip up.

Why is this system not implemented, or is it just not possible with your setup?

over-policing sucks hard

I see mods in MMOs where they don't don't have to directly interfere with whatever the players are doing. I this game they're going to be 1/5 of the team's effort. This can be seen as unfair, especially in ranked. "they have mod on their team gg" even if they're not obvious, they're still affecting the player experience and are not objective.

At the moment there is an automated mode which is fishing for catchphrases and stuff, which kicks in when you get reported. depending on the number of reports and depending on the words used, users might get chat restricted or, if more severe or after several chat restrictions, get escalated to a human reviewer. it then gets determined if there's gonna be a ban or not.

Lyte has posted several times that the tribunal will be online again, they are working on it.

Between the robot and tribunal, there is no further use for mods at all. I believe they would only interfere! At all times you can mute you as a user have the power to do that. If you are sensitive you might mute early, if not you might not mute at all. Why would you give that power to a third party?

Makes no sense at all!
