HONEST QUESTION: Why do people hat queuing with friends so much?

I have never seen such an aversion to playing with friends considering this is a team based game. there seems to be little to no effort on most players parts to cultivate a group of people to play with. Out of 10 in a club surely there are 4 or 5 on at once that will play with you. What is the problem of egos in this game where everyone allegedly wants to test their skill in solo queue? Why are there so few saying they want to test their team vs another? All I want to do is find a group of dependable people that don't troll. Everyone else wants to roll the dice perpetually claiming they are up to the challenge. AS LONG AS IT'S NOT TOO CHALLENGING. They don't want to test skills against a pre made.

I agree somewhat. I'll throw out how I feel and why I have always preferred to solo queue. First off, i'm in a clan of about 20. Real good buds I've stuck with since season 3. At the time they were all lvl 30 bronze that took me in, when i was like lvl 20. Fast forward 3 years and they are still bronze and im plat. During my climb I duo'd and trio'd a few times but they weren't performing up to my expectations and I'd start getting real upset. They're like brothers to me though so its not like I WANT to flame them or go off so my only other option is only solo queue. Since then I've queue'd up with randoms that I've met along the way only for them to show their true colors(90% of the time they play like shit and throw excuse after excuse/10% of the time I play like shit and they are the most toxic wastebin thats seen the face of the earth). Either way, in every scenario, I've preferred solo queue for ranked because it puts me in the mindset where I can't point fingers at the people I queue with and I really start to analyze my own gameplay and think SOLELY about what I could have done to change the outcome of the game.

Queuing up with a premade puts with against a premade, which is unappealing for a lot of people.

It's not a question of wanting to queue in with friends. People who want to do that always could.

The problem is dismantling the two competitive ladders to put in a game mode that already existed, while undermining the whole purpose of the ladder system, which is to rank performance.

Most friends don't all play at the same level, and trying to play a serious/competitive game with them often gets uncomfortable, which is why most friends would rather play normals, where there is less of a consequence for bad performance.
