Change in Riot point value

In the wake of Riot announcing an increase in the cost of Riot points in Europe, I thought I'd take a look at the numbers and report them hear before we have too many counter-productive discussions just raging about the cost increase.

As riot points can be brought in various amounts, with different bonuses for each, I have taken an average of all possible purchases to try and ascertain; First, how many riot points you get to the $/£/€. Second, what is the equivalent price in USD.

I will simply post only the numbers (and graphs) and leave you, the community, to decide whether the price is fair or not. Bare this in mind however, that if riot is (as some people say) just begin greedy, and bias against Europe, the we would expect to be buying fewer riot points for £/€ etc than you could get for the equivalent in $.

Just a short explanation of the three graphs:

Left; shows how many RP you can buy per US $/ Canadian $/ € e.g. you will get 140RP/$, 144RP/CA$, 176RP/€ and 196/£.

Middle; shows how many riot points you would get if you converted your currency into US $. e.g if you converted 1€ in to US $ and brought RP with it, you would get the equivalent of just over 160RP/US $

Right; shows the current #RP/USD equivalent infront (same as the middle graph) and then behind in a different colour, what the **new **equivalent would be if costs increased by 10%.

I've included data for Euro, pound sterling (even though i'm not certain that is getting increased) and Canadian $ for a different comparison.

So what I interpreted from your graphs is that the US is getting screwed over, in that EU and Canada have both higher RP/EUR or RP/CAD and RP/US Equivalent. And Europe still has higher values even after an increase in price.

So what is it you are complaining about?

This is price increase gonna reflect badly on riots profit on EUNE.

This is why: Dj Sona costs me 1/10 of my monthly income, and Im not an odd one, it will take the same amount of the salaries for 80% of the citizens of my country and all of our neighboring countries.

Now why will someone from EUW like you should care:

U dont want riot to reduce the Hosting Service package for EUNE coz of low profit from that region. If they do we will switch to EUW, now EUW will have more players and less profit per player, or worse connection and less money for better hosting service.

So now riot decreases in revenue.... I wonder what will happen after that? Maybe an one time subscription for 2.99 € for a new account?

I feel like u've made some poor life choices and should stop playing video games. Unless you're in HS/college and 1/10 of ur montly income is because you are not actually trying to live off of ur income.

Then again I am a self centered american and have no idea what the GDP/avg income is in your region. But if you have to make a choice to eat vs buying a virtual hat, i feel like you shouldn't.
