Bronze frustrations

This is mostly aimed at Bronze players seeing as it's all I'm accustomed to.

There's this word I hear a lot in my games, particularly from AP playing champs who think they can burst down the entire enemy team solo while behind... ... As AP Amumu... ... Then when you inevitably die, you call out in all chat "omg my team won't group." When clearly the bot laners are pushing because the team is gone (Both our mid towers were up, so we could push and take first tower) The top laner is also pushing top and the mid laner is dead. So the jungler (Again, AP Amumu) who's basic kit is around being the AOE CC champ, decides to Q the enemy Blizcrank, then run away, then ult, then die.

Grouping is something used for when your team is good at teamfights, or at least when you are preparing for one. This is something I want to throw at my teammates but it would take too long to chat in game, so hopefully some other Bronze players check the board (Then again, most of them don't even read patch notes and are surprised at the ghost dragon suddenly appearing in bot lane.)

Kills are not the most important aspect of a game of League of Legends, objectives are. Here's a blunt explanation of the game: Nexus: Wins game. Tower: Blocks your way to Nexus. Inhibitor: Makes your minions stronger (Those are the little things players seem to avoid in order to desperately throw some damage, wasting your mana and over time, becomes entirely pointless because champions heal over time.) Dragon: This thing gives you a PERMANENT increase to your team.

Now, I hear some of you saying: "But you need kills in order to get gold to win the game!" True, you need gold, but kills are not the end-all solution. Here's some math for you:

Say you are ADC (for the purpose of optimizing first blood) You get first blood (+400g) You get double kill (+350g) Later in the game, you get another kill (+275g) (Assuming it's the enemy ADC.) Now you are on a killing spree. To sum up, assuming you have ignored or missed all CS, took no turrets and ignoring passive gold, you have 1025g.

Now, say you have the enemy mid-laner or jungle come down and kill you and your teammate. Kill (+300g) Shutdown (+500g) Double kill (+350g) The enemy champion now has 1050 gold. That's from killing 2 people, you killed 3.

The more kills you get, the more money you are worth. Sure, assuming you don't die, you keep making money. But the downside is, You're in Bronze (Assuming you are my intended audience) so you get cocky over how many kills you are taking. So you over-extend, you chase or you dive. Just to get those mad plays. But the bottom line is, you'll be focusing more on kills and less on what's actually in front of you.

I might be wrong on my math. Although it would be nice if there was a proper chart on how much each kill is worth and how much you get per shutdown. (No, don't send me to the league wiki, I've done as much research as I could to make a point.)

If there's one thing I learned while watching LCS, it's that they don't always go for the kill. Kills on each team rarely exceed 20 total kills (I've seen games end with less than 10!) Because they are aware of what is important! Just hoping I've taught something to someone. Just remember that being the strongest doesn't necessarily mean you are better than the team, you just hit harder. But if you don't start going for the turrets, the enemy will.

There. My vent is over. Continue playing, summoners. Don't chase!

Well for one, your math was off, shutdowns are worth 500 Gold, sometimes, idk about the exact math, but they're not an additional 500g, they're an additional 200g or so added onto the 300g you'd already get.

While I can understand you're having issues cause it's bronze, trust me, I'm right around the corner, I think the biggest issue with bronze and imo, the ranking system itself, is that in order to carry bronze players, you have to be MUCH better than bronze. The other issue is focus, having an objective, as you said. I just played a game earlier where our mid, top, and jungle were shoving mid while dragon was available and we already had the enemy mid inhib. It's pointless actions like that, that make it possible for teams to come back in these games. The other issue is that every bronze player is a challenger at heart, or at least in the ego, they think they're only in bronze because of shit teams and that they won't listen to anyone else because they think they know better. However, that's just sort of the issue with the game in general imo.

That's my 2 cents.
