I don't know the whole PROJECT lore or anything, but pretty sure it's just a calming, reassuring point of that they're all not alone in their situation.
Imagine it this way; you just woke up and have no real memories. You're a robot type person now with powers and shit. You're flippin' out. Now here comes to bow wielding chick who looks a lot like you but is much more calm. While she is as well confused (probably), she is more together than you. Her presence is calming; it builds a form of comfort and now you start to feel like there is some hope along side this person.
It's like how peeps call one another "fam".
