Same thing as people were mad over Dunkey being banned.

Some people enjoy the show they put up, become fanboys and refuse to see what's wrong with their idol. You can see the same thing irl with Justin Bieber fans, honestly.

You obviously don’t know what it’s like playing 20-30 straight games of top lane feeding first blood and/or going 10 deaths every game. Then you go top, as someone who plays top very rarely, avg less than .5% of your games and you don’t feed...

It's the reasoning for some (but not all) of the people mad about the ban: they think that, because they're frustrated, they're allowed them to do whatever they want to "get back" at others or make themselves feel better. Under that reasoning, Tyler1 threw some (but not all) of his tantrums because of other people's poor play, bad attitudes, or outright trolling. It's that bizarre attitude where people think that acting horribly is somehow going to fix or mitigate the fact that other people act horribly.

We're not discussing why Tyler/people in general are toxic. Your points are valid, but they don't fit into this topic.

Those points do fit the topic, because people's excuses to be toxic are the same ones they're using to support other people being toxic. They think their allies' bad behavior, whenever it pops up, excuses their own toxicity and the toxicity of others; they don't see Tyler1 doing anything wrong because he uses the same excuses they do.

I...don't understand how much clearer I can make it. People aren't going to support punishment for things that they themselves feel justified in doing.

In the meantime, if you want another reason, there are a lot of people on the ban thread saying that, because Riot can't or doesn't punish everyone who trolls or is toxic, they shouldn't punish Tyler1 for it...

It's a case in point: SOME people are mad because this ^^^ is how they think. They think that, because someone plays poorly or trolls or is abusive in chat or whatever else people like Earth on Tilt don't like, someone like Tyler1 would be justified being an asshole. Earth on Tilt posted it as his/her reason to be mad at the ban.

I do not agree with this attitude, at all, but it is on topic. The question of why people are toxic is absolutely relevant to the topic of why they support someone who is toxic.

Your problem, that "We're not discussing why Tyler/people in general are toxic. Your points are valid, but they don't fit into this topic," is something I disagree with for that reason. People are okay with and support someone's attitude because they believe it's justified; they are okay with the why, so they support the what.

I still don't think it's relevant. "Why" is not a major reason when it comes to famous people.

Like celebrities doing drugs, speeding or even raping people. There isn't people out there that believe those things are okay, they just admire someone too much to see it's actually wrong/hate the celebrity for it.

Know what we call these people? Fanboys/girls.
