Your LP is adjusted after each game based on how well they think you should have done against the people you were against. if they had a hot streak of 2+, then it would be much easier to gain LP. They have a similar system where if you're on a 5+ streak you'll gain more LP because the game actually notices that you're not in the ELO you should be and tries to boost you there, or drag you there, depending on win or loss streak. If they added a boost after just 2 wins you'd see a lot more people placed where they're not supposed to be because of 3 lucky carries.
