That riot kept her price at 450 ip. Instead of re-releasing her as a 6300- which they could have easily done, they kept her at her old price. Now new players can afford practically a brand new champion for very reasonable costs.

But no rework has affected the price on the champ,at least none that I've seen.This is a pretty standard thing. I mean,Sion's price wasn't changed.So why would Poppy's?
The thing I love about the Poppy rework is how cute and humble she is now. It puts a smile on my face when I play her.
To new players, all champions are brand new champions.
Still amazes me that anyone can pick up this old boy for 1350 IP.
They didn't do it for Sion, why would they have done it for the Poopster?
Not only that, but they did increase her complexity and skill cap, making her one of the highest skill, low-IP champions.

That's pretty cool, but my favourite thing is how they kept the trend of silly crit animations from Sion. Poppy head-butts people now! I hope they do the same with Taric and give him a similarly ridiculous crit.

I don't think the point is that her price remaining the same is unprecedented, but rather that's its nice they didn't make the essentially new champion of Poppy a higher priced character like they very well could have due to the amount of work that went into her.
They could't have increased her price to 6300. They have never done that and if they did it would be a scummy thing to do that would cause them to lose some players
