This legit just happened to me today. I only knew this Vayne was smurfing because they linked their Twitch stream. Within like 20 seconds of the laning phase, "God this Soraka (me) sucks." He tells me to go help mid and I go on my way. He then complains about dying after I'm gone. Refused to heal him in team fights because I'm petty. Also, their stream only had like 2 people in it. lol

I think there is a special level of teemo hell for silver players pub stomping on new accounts or intentionally landing in bronze to play, or even gold or plat stomping on silver or something. Yeah of course you're going to run into a decent amount of players you beat easily if you're two tiers below where your normal MMR is, but quit insulting people just because you're frustrated you can't make that last push into the highest tiers and you're just a good player instead of a great one. Worst smurfs ever.

T RexHasTinyArms1 votesEh, that's also in how you define "good." High silver is like top 1/3 of the ladder so imo I'd say that's decent bc it's better than average. I'd say gold and plat are probably good imo, just not great or "damn you're good" level. I dunno, I think of it kinda like college or something, if the only people considered smart are the top 1% then we are talking PhD and MD graduates mostly, and from maybe half the schools in the country at most. Most people would say that graduating with good marks from a decent school would be worth calling smart, or that masters level work would at least count.
However, I think it might also be relative perspective. I just graduated w/ a masters from a school that is top 10 in the country for what I studied and I wouldn't call myself smart. In large part that is because when I think of "smart" people I think of the ones I sit in with and respect that are that next level (challenger academics and research tier :D lol); people whom most of population would consider brilliant. I've learned to accept that I'm smart in general terms so I don't argue with people when they say it, because it's probably true even if it's not the conception I have of the term. Similarly, as you get close to top tier play you probably start to realize how far from top tier just being good actually is. There is such a huge gap between good and great, smart and brilliant, that it becomes easy to discount the former as you approach really understanding the quality of the later. However, I think in this case a decent argument could be made that given the percentage of players who make gold/plat, they are solidly above average and that probably qualifies as good, but not great.

Reason 1: They just want to play with their new-to-league low level friends. The decent people in this group intentionally don't play at their best (unless it's obvious they're against another smurf) and smurf solely to not force their friends into having a horrid experience playing against people with 1000x more experience than them.
Reason 2: They're fuckin' bad, and are stuck at some rank on their main, and go to a low level account to ruin the fun of lower level players and pretend they're not complete garbage themselves. These are the people that QQ at you for being bad at level 4. Meanwhile, every time they play on their main, they're completely ass-punked because they don't realize they suck.
Jari1 votesI actually have a third: When I take a long break or like recently where I got a new screen, I used a new account to get used to it without the need of people screaming how bad I am. At least bots at level 3 is friendlier than at 30, where if I wanted to do something everyone would make it their mission to ruin any practice there. Which it did help, first game went okay and got used to my screen and such before jumping back to the big account.

Aboylova921 votesThis is what I've tried to get across to a few friends. I have a "smurf" although I'm not that highly ranked at low Gold. Mainly to play with new players/friends that are low bronze. Once in a while some of my higher elo friends will play as well and get angry if x person didn't do something. And I'll tell them, that they're either new to the game, or don't take it that seriously. Give them a break we were all there at some point of another.

Tiax1 votesOk as someone has a lot of experience smurfing in ranked, I do once in a while verbally explode at a player (which I never do on my main ever). But it's not just because someone is bad, you gotta realize that to a smurf almost everyone is bad lol (even if they get a good kda or w/e). It's when someone is extra bad then bad mouths me or other players, like that enrages me depending on what they say. This is because they have no idea what they are actually talking about and just spout some random ass shit to blame others when they are god damn terrible. But yeah someone just feeding or being useless is not a good reason for a smurf to flame, they are just a toxic player period it's not an overall smurfing issue.

And the lvl 30 always insult their teammates because they are not as good as their teammates in ranked... The only solution: Make players lvl 30 unable to play with or against lower lvl.

I think a lot of people who say they are smurfs aren't actually smurfs but want you to think they are so you let them get their champ / role. These are the guys who go 2-15 and rage at their team because "they're too heavy to carry even for pro"
