I posted a thread about this, but I'll post here anyway.
This legit just happened to me today. I only knew this Vayne was smurfing because they linked their Twitch stream. Within like 20 seconds of the laning phase, "God this Soraka (me) sucks." He tells me to go help mid and I go on my way. He then complains about dying after I'm gone. Refused to heal him in team fights because I'm petty. Also, their stream only had like 2 people in it. lol
I don't mind people smurfing long as they arn't being an ass about it =p Don't go to end lobby and say "first time (champname here)" every game, lol
Or even worse, raging at their team and insulting opponents when they are just the second account of a medium ranked player rather than a diamond/master player smurfing to avoid having longer que times.
I think there is a special level of teemo hell for silver players pub stomping on new accounts or intentionally landing in bronze to play, or even gold or plat stomping on silver or something. Yeah of course you're going to run into a decent amount of players you beat easily if you're two tiers below where your normal MMR is, but quit insulting people just because you're frustrated you can't make that last push into the highest tiers and you're just a good player instead of a great one. Worst smurfs ever.
I have started to play smurf games just to be a positive impact in the BM world. I try to add as many people as possible after game so i can make full non-smurf teams so theres no BM :)
The sad thing about anyone who rages in a low level game is that if they're really any good they should be able to carry it regardless.
The people who smurf frequently aren't that good, hence them using smurfs a lot.
People smurf for 1 of 2 reasons:
Reason 1: They just want to play with their new-to-league low level friends. The decent people in this group intentionally don't play at their best (unless it's obvious they're against another smurf) and smurf solely to not force their friends into having a horrid experience playing against people with 1000x more experience than them.
Reason 2: They're fuckin' bad, and are stuck at some rank on their main, and go to a low level account to ruin the fun of lower level players and pretend they're not complete garbage themselves. These are the people that QQ at you for being bad at level 4. Meanwhile, every time they play on their main, they're completely ass-punked because they don't realize they suck.
Yeah, when I smurf I see an astounding amount of this. If you want good teams... maybe don't smurf? This one guy even said "omg nobody helped me when I was diving a

Players that are smurfing are ruining new players experience
I am not fine with smurf accounts. I am teaching a friend to play League of Legends and he always tells me how discouraged he feels because a smurf destroyed him. Smurfs are cowards and a problem that Riot should address because they are costing them new costumers.
I have no idea what compels these people to rage at lower level people, I leveled up my smurf quietly and then carried on to rank up.
What I have a problem with is a "plat smurf" coming into a bronze/silver game and saying everyone is bad and then going 2-17. That is not Okay and they should be banned if they do that.
New players are freindlier than veterans.

Thats why we should not find a player lvl 30 in a team of lvl 20-29 against 5 players lvl 20-29. I saw that so many times!! And the lvl 30 always insult their teammates because they are not as good as their teammates in ranked... The only solution: Make players lvl 30 unable to play with or against lower lvl.
Had this problem when I first started back in mid season 3, smurfs basically turned me from the game until the end of season 4.
What Shinjusuke said. I wish there was a "report: bad smurf" option... Add these reports against their main accounts.
I think a lot of people who say they are smurfs aren't actually smurfs but want you to think they are so you let them get their champ / role. These are the guys who go 2-15 and rage at their team because "they're too heavy to carry even for pro"
Also people who get snowballing on a strong champ I think claim they are smurfs as a troll attempt.

i'm just going to repeat what i said in a reddit post: "I like to think of it this way, people with a high/higher elo smurf to feel good about themselves. 1 smurf in particular I actually liked because he/she said they wanted to get the hang of the game again after not playing for 1-2 years. it's the early levels that are tough. once you're able to get to higher levels you will be matched with people of your own skill, just need to unfortunately tough it out. good luck with your games." normal games had its own set of mmr. do amazing, get matched with amazing people; do terrible, get matched with other "terrible" people. either way, you will eventually face people with your skill level
This is what I've tried to get across to a few friends. I have a "smurf" although I'm not that highly ranked at low Gold. Mainly to play with new players/friends that are low bronze. Once in a while some of my higher elo friends will play as well and get angry if x person didn't do something. And I'll tell them, that they're either new to the game, or don't take it that seriously. Give them a break we were all there at some point of another.
I don't like smurfing in ranked. Normal smurfing is fine. Seriously, a smurf is basically boosting 5 players ranks and lowering 4 players ranks
Ok as someone has a lot of experience smurfing in ranked, I do once in a while verbally explode at a player (which I never do on my main ever). But it's not just because someone is bad, you gotta realize that to a smurf almost everyone is bad lol (even if they get a good kda or w/e). It's when someone is extra bad then bad mouths me or other players, like that enrages me depending on what they say. This is because they have no idea what they are actually talking about and just spout some random ass shit to blame others when they are god damn terrible. But yeah someone just feeding or being useless is not a good reason for a smurf to flame, they are just a toxic player period it's not an overall smurfing issue.
How about you all stop raging about smurfs being assholes and hit that mute button.
