90-100. Not rare to have games with 120. The biggest issue was the frequency of lag spikes/packet losses, though.

I never blamed ping for my shortcomings. I usually play with 140. As long as its constant, it doesn't matter

Eh, ping is less important than the packet loss that it occasionally comes with- not always, but sometimes. That loss of control for a quarter second can really change a game.

Cali's issue is crappy infastructure and ISPs. I live in an area with said crappy infastructure and ISPs and am going to play a game, so I'll see how bad it is. 70-90 would be fine IMO, but my server test was giving me 100-124, moving often.

And actually if Cali has the old East Coast ping (110-150) that's frickin' unacceptable. Geographically it doesn't make sense, and then we're literally just swapping the issue.

Yeah. I can't imagine what it's like for you people losing such glorious speed. I played a game at 50 ping, and my god it was so good. It was like smooth, semi-liquidy butter.... mmm.... butter.

I feel sorry for the West coast people for losing some of this, but at least the issues we've had on the east coast will be more recognized as a whole.

Really, though, wanna know who the real winners are? The middle states. My friend in Michigan has 2 ping. He says he's never had more fun playing Katarina in his entire life...

Well, I got 80 flat on my first game. There's almost no difference, in practice, between that and my old 54. I pretty much destroyed on Trist (actually one of my better mechanical games), out-CSing by 30 at 20 minutes or something stupid like that. It's a pretty big relief for me, since the test day went absolutely terrible.

But yeah I feel super bad for Hawaii and Alaska. Really we should work towards having two servers next year, IMO.

It seems the new move has been a placebo people have more confidence in their games since their ping has gone down. Not all west coast players are completely screwed many like me were born into low fps ranging from 9-15 fps depending on how my PC felt. If I have to give up thresh fine but I'll never give into the temptations of Garen and skarner

Are all your settings low? I'm going to be honest, I got 60 FPS with a laptop that is currently 7 years old lol. I don't use it anymore since I got a new one, but it would still run League at 60 FPS. It had like 2GB ram and didn't even have a dedicated graphics card or anything...and was a laptop. You just gotta run lowest settings and set shadows off lol. Unless you're using a computer from like 1995, you should be able to run League fine on the lowest settings.

No now I'm good i saved up for a while and got an actual gaming PC like 2 years ago but i was 12 when i first started playing which is the reason for my dumb name and i didn't think about changing my graphics cuz they were already on medium. I later checked to see if there was a frame different on all low graphics(essential looks like season 1) and it increase to like 36 but I spent most of time with league(1-30 and a few ranked games) on that crappy computer(it was an hp desktop with like less than two gigs of ram I once played minecraft on it and it crashed.)

ok the difference for me is immense so far. things feel buttery smooth. I live in florida went from 100 ping to the low 40's. The biggest part, though, is the chunky ping spikes where things miss even though on my screen they hit, and the second biggest thing is I don't get "attempting to reconnect" every other match and die under my turret. SOOOO nice I bet ill win quite a few more now.

I just can't believe how silky smooth the game feels now.

Playing Yasuo is like, wait things are supposed to move that quick and fluid? This champion feels 100x smoother and more accurate now. I didn't realize all my chunky play could've been caused by the server... I guess I thought, "hey 100 ping isn't THAT bad," but it was more than just 100 ping. It was chunky spikes and stuttering on occasion and of course the attempting to reconnects (but I wasn't thinking that would affect standard gameplay.) It all helps tremendously

In the first game I played this morning, I went 12/0 as Yasuo as well against a diamond Karthus.

I couldn't believe it when my ping dropped by ~70. I can count on one hand how many times Karthus can land his Q on me. Still, I kinda feel bad for West Coast, now they have to play with terrible ping like we did.
